@lindseyblair It's called "Chorado" from the portuguese verb "chorar" (Eng. "cry"). The term here corresponds to a sort Brazilian folk (?)musical composition, probably with lots of feeling.
A friend showed me this song once and I got stonished by the chords and Guinga's singing also. I tried hard to get the chords from the cd and finally gave up. With this clip i know them all now and can sing it along. Thanks a lot lawnelson!!
This is really beautiful, your playing has real feeling - that is not so common at all. I don't know this piece very well but I you count in double time maybe - the brazillian bossa samba feel generally has a two step feel across 8 sixteenth's, is this helpful at all? beautiful playing again thank you.
Unfortunatally I haven't got as much theoritical knowledge as I would like to. My playing is rather intuational. I appreaciate your suggestion. It really has been helpful!
It is not necessary to be Brazilias to know Guinga. He is one of the greatest musician of our time. I am Georgian but love brazilian music not less than brazilians do:)))) Good job in playing Guinga
I'm from Chile and I'm fond of unusual chords on the guitar. You are bound to find Guinga when you really like music and are fed up of "predictable" melodies
beautiful voicings and voice leading,. what is the name of this song?

I don't know this music too, but I suspect, being from Guinga, it may showcase some unusual rhythm cells.
