  • The Duke said it all

  • @deaxchem~ Im a U.S. NAVY veteran and a HUGE John Wayne fan. You have NO idea what you are talking about my friend. There are HUGE numbers of total LOSERS wearing a uniform and there always has been. Get your facts straight and before you run your mouth about someone, hows about you list all of YOUR great deeds and accomplishments!

  • Had not seen this was linked to my video...Good job!

  • @deuxchem You are a corn-dodger.

  • Comment removed

  • @deuxchem The Duke was not a "draft dodger" as you put it. He was where the Government wanted him. He did far more for the war effort making movies that pushed for the sales of War Bonds than he ever could in uniform. he was a Patriot and the true definition of a man. If you can't handle that, sit in your corner and knit.

  • @AmmoMan0

War Bonds.......really......? You feel he made a sacrafice equal to that of those who wore a uniform.......a REAL uniform.

    Fucking loser.

  • @deuxchem John Wayne had a health problem that kept him from going into the service, so he did the next best thing, he tried to uphold our service men and he tried to tell the stupid in the USA what we were fighting for. so read a little more before you try and bring down Big John.

  • @AmmoMan0

    Ignore that moron. :)

"John Wayne was exempted from service due to his age (34 at the time of Pearl Harbor) and family status, classified as 3-A (family deferment).

  • @deuxchem and you a re a cock-sucker

  • very nice

  • Well said,Duke.Yep we sure miss ya.

  • THIS IS A MESSAGE FROM THE DUKE!!!

I fought for America, and it doesn't bother me that he didn't!!! He says everything about my country I wish I had the words to say.

God Bless my beautiful America. And God rest The Duke.

I hope he would not be ashamed of what we became without him............

  • No it doesn't bother you. But it bothered thousands of other soldiers and families of soldiers who fought and died.

By the way, how do you feel about those dodging VietNam by fleeing to Canada?

    They belong in jail no?

  • that is so true thank you for serving i am headed in here soon

  • A great message.

When war broke out, John Wayne tried to enlist but was rejected because of an old football injury to his shoulder, his age (34), and his status as a married father of four. He flew to Washington to plead that he be allowed to join the Navy but was turned down. So he poured himself into the war effort by making inspirational war films.

  • the duke is dead, Like hell I am.

  • @EuroNazionalist and you are a simpleton fool!

  • That's right Duke, you tell em. If you love the hyphen more than you love America you aren't a true American.

  • Wow, I had no Idea he did this piece...

  • love john wayne true man

  • He was born is different generation strong/Macho was the way to go, but he was changed man, he learnt a lots of things from his life experience. He was a good man.

  • AMEN,DUKE!!

  • mowm88 I agree that John Wayne was not a perfect person.... for that matter neither am I or any of us for that matter. Maybe he changed and grew. I mean he lived in a differant era than us and I understand that. If you listen what he says is so simple and basic, and that i beleive is the beauty of this poem and why it rings so true to me.

  • mowm88 Don't be an assclown!

  • The message is good, regardless of who it is from.

  • Love this video and love the way John Wayne. He's my hero!!! But this does say it all!!! We all have ancestors from other countries....
