@bjfdog except that anesthesia actually does something for the pain. But i'm kinda appalled at the fact that a PT promotes medical treatment rather than say; Mobilizing exercises, self-mobilizing exercises, or dare i say it manipulations. Or overall treatment A.M Mckenzie....
my upper left side of my back neck hurts (probably) because i shake my head to set my headset correctly back, it is a bad habbit i feel so bad in my neck each time i excersise any tips for me would be great!
i used to have a horrid pinched nerve up by my shoulders, kept me awake every night for a year, until i a) started chiropractic treatments (switched healthcare plans!!!) and b) began stretching a little bit every day, rotating my neck and stretching my shoulders, all those basic side-to-side stretches you do in gym class. regaining mobility especially in my neck area was slow but steady, i swear to god though, it was worth it. BLESS MY CHIROPRACTOR i wish everyone could afford chiro !
i just streched my arm uin front of me really fast like a punch and the right side of my neck started hurting and now i cant move.. any idea if its smt serious?
@TheZombinator1 ull be fine the human body is strong...and i have had the same thing happened i know how you feel, youll be fine bro just go easy on it and have someone message it for you
Being in pain all the time is the worst. It hurts so bad I can't sleep!
Remain calm, dose yourself up on codeine or cocodamol or ibuprofens and look for some postural realignment excercises. minimal effort, good way to reduce the pain to manageable levels!
@g0pi3 Well how loong did the pain last you and what did you do to help it? any advice you can give me is great because i have school and cheer and cannot be hurt. thanks
@schaefferbabe I'm sorry to say that it took a few days to fully heal. just make sure you don't sleep in a weird position and it'll get better. . .u could try a hot water bottle.
ahhhh!!! i have this i finally found what it is!! its the disk right below c7 as you said or the one that sticks, out right below that, thats where i feel like pain if i lightly push on it, i went to a specialist and everything she just game me aleave and stuff but the pain is still there and i had pain on my shoulder like that and she said it was most likely a torn trap i think i may see her again and bring this up cause this is EXACTLY what i have, I COULDNT THANK YOU ANYMORE!!
can you tell me what this is ? ive been 2 three docs i dont hav strength in hands but my fore arm gets numb and my hands hurt and my fore arm will hav a stinging pain that feels almost like it itches if not medicated it will get worse and i have a knot in around my upper bac . and the pain in my hands goes threw my whole first fingers not thumb thow and i hav no muscle loss .
Well, first of all, if you have a flattened neck you wount be able to "straighten" it out by muscular training and stretching. Its your anatomy and how your spine is shaped. You can possibly change that by surgery but not by training. A bad posture you can do something about but all thatll do in the c5-c6 segment is that itll close the joints and possibly adding more pinch to the nerve itself, since the problem is usually protraction of the head. Traction would be the proper treatment here.
How does this guy know that a nerve problem is not being caused by a muscle spasm in the neck? He does not even mention muscle spasms and what they are and how they can affect a persons health. Without understanding muscle physiology doctors and physical therapists will never understand muscle spasms and as a result will never be able to treat patients correctly. I suggest reading the work of Thomas Griner. Google his name and read his work on the Neurosoma website.
my lower back is stuffed. i have the oddest tingling 'electrical' pain in my privates and also my legs and sometimes in my arms. Even rung an ambulance once. Had xray done and it come back fine, getting an MRI soon i hope, waiting list is huge.
Lengthen the spine, free the neck, balance the head atop the neck and ears over shoulders. It is great to keep the latissimus dorsi at a lengthened state. I have discovered that this muscle pair has adopted a shrunken state because of my once poor posture. They actually pull down on my shoulders as I otherwise lift up. Now that I am in the midst of a program to lengthen this muscle pair I have realized that it is the reason for my inconsistent and poor posture. Good luck with your posture.
@stopbeingnasty Thanks! but this is not the problem. I have been on gluten free diet just to shave some fat during workout in the past and during the pain period. Gluten affects the gut, it creates inflammation in the intestine tract.
I think I also pinched something. I pulled my back during a game of football, and for about a week now my right eye and mouth would twitch once in a while. it's really annoying
i got 4 pintched nervs, lower back colapsed, two fused vertabra in upper back all from 7 years of football aww good ol days wait did i mention im only 16
@plymouthfan This video was directly to the point of what I'm looking relief for and it told me nothing that I needed to hear. Please tell me that you found a way to relieve your pain.
i went to the doc twice and they gave me muscle relaxers... im exhibiting the symptoms of a trapped nerve you talk about with pain in tricep, in back around shoulderblade, and back of forearm. cant afford another doc visit (no ins) is there anything i can do at home to relieve the symptoms? please help if possible! this is agony...
2 days ago I bent my head down cause my neck hurt, but then i could feel my left arm and my left pinky getting really hot, and then my pinky started aching. My pinky is still aching now and its been two days, do you think this could be a pinched nerve? would the pain go away? and is it possible for my pinky to be paralyzed?
@jayangli My neck is okay, and my pinky is fine now, it doesn't hurt anymore. Um how did you hurt your neck? usually any neck pain that is not serious will go away on its own, you just have to give it some time and not crack your neck.
I went to a 2 chiropractors and a doctor and I know it's a pinched nerve but they haven't done anything about it. But they sure like taking my money. They didn't even suggest it being a pinched nerve. But I have pain that goes from my neck to the inside of my shoulder blades and a horrible pain in my upper arm and my fingers tingle and they didn't do anything about it. Doctors like a car mechanic you need to tell them what's wrong with you or they'll try to fix something that's not broken.
@JackLivesTogether Doctors give us right info but not enough information. They give us medication and advice. I listen to them but also to myself. For example, if you have a skin allergy or infection of some kind, most doctors would prescribe medicine but may never tell us to stay away from hot or chilli based foods. These foods affect the skin and can make infection worse or slow down healing.
Interesting, I've had a nagging pain and spasm right between my shoulder blade and spine, nothing was ever found on x-ray and I've just sort of tolerated it and found a varieties of ways to crack my neck to relieve the pain for a short time. Perhaps it's time for a second opinion.
i guess m havin the same thin. this is psychologically devastating. im only 21, doing so well in my studies and this has taken away the happiness in my life. i cant read smth for 5 mins even. cant sit cant do anything.

Shirodhara treatment uses a steady stream of heated oil on the forehead to soothe and heal an agitated nervous system,(resets your nervous system)
During the treatment, you lie on your back while a practitioner pours oil (from a special pot about four inches above your head) in a steady stream.
Now Im going to look up the opposite, I want to learn to do a Vulcan Neck Pinch to knock an enemy out. Gotta know dude... hope that helps you
