This is so sad and im so sorry:'( i actually don't know how it feels to lose a horse but if i ever lost one of mine..i just couodn't imagine. He was only 7? that's awful=[ but you are a great rider and he would want you to be happy and try to move on(as hard as that must be) again...im so sorry and he was absolutely gorgeous! I know how you feel kiddo. I lost one of my horses recently. I miss her terribly so too. The only thing you have is pictures and memories. I have pictures, memories, and her son. My Mare died from Lamanitis though. Either way, i know it hurts, and i know its not the same hun. im sorry.

my first horse 'watch us fly' died of colic. I was on holiday and my best friend was looking after him, he ate something on the field and she saw how he started 1h later with the colic sighns. amidiatly she called the vet. they called us up and we were already on our way back. fly was neary dead when i got to the stables. the vet said, fly wouldn't let anyone close to him. i went into the field and he winnied for me. I put my arms around his neck and cry my heart out. he blew warm air into...

... my face, then he put his beautiful head down on my lap and passed away. the vet said he had never seen anything like that.... fly had waited for me to come, to say goodbye, before he died... I love you my boy and will never forget you....you will run in my dream for ever !!

aww thts really sad...a lesson horse i used to ride died from colic. Its really sad too because he was my best friend there. I used to work there as a working student and he was my favorite. He was my best friend. The place didn't treat him right. They didn't give him a blanket when it was cold or call the vet when he was sick with something unrelated to the colic i think. :(...i'm sorry to hear you lost your best friend.

My fave horse Fred coliced alot and i held him for shots and walked him in the middle of winter when i thot my toes wuld freeze and fall off. I stood by his stall and brushed him when nobody else would. I loved him to pieces. When i went away to camp they sold him to a retirement barn. I never even got to say goodbye</3

Gosh this is so sad and i coulndt even finsih it because my horse also died from the exact same thing that your horse did, it started as colic then her intestines just yeah did what they did. But ottb's are the best and him only being 7 is really horrible. The day he died is on my birthday. really sorry. how high did you guys used to jump?
