Naww didnt mean 2 inches one way. Its about an inch. When I was building it I had it hooked up to a sine wave generator and i had it oscillating 2 inches. Problem with music is that it wont flip polarity so it will only move away from the basket.
I said that based on the P315D4 technical specification manual. But that is one inch in and one out. Mine here is only moving out. Moving in is not good when under power
@yomonkeyness your saying that your sub only moves one way? thats not possible because ac current forces it to move in and out. your sub might move out at first because thats the way polarity works but i can assure you that it is in fact moving both directions from the resting position. and it does not hurt the sub which way it moves. inverted subs are wired in reverse polarity so the still move the right direction on the initial hit of bass. music doesnt effect polarity tho the amps output does
oh i know what u mean about space.. if u are familiar with cars and space, i got a 1995 cougar xr-7 and i put a 18 inch audiobahn ultra excursion in.. check it out and comment.. i am in the process of taking out the backseat and passenger seat to throw 2 more ultra excursions in..
Im making a switch to 2 10's. Not sure what kind yet but unless they are HE+ models they arent gonna be fosgates. By the way im selling this sub with box for $250 which is a steal! let me know if you are interested! Possibly may consider selling my Cap and AMP too.
Ya i know! Im pissed! there is no room anywhere in a 2000 dak quad cab to mount subs so i am in the process right now of removing my rear seat and replacing it with bucket seats from a dodge neon. Then i will make a new box and it will be like the arm rest. I have the seats now and i am just machining mounts and stuff. should be done soon.
Im not sure if it is or not. Factory says it moves over 2 inches so i turned it up until i heard the voice coil scraping which is full movement. It looks like 2 inches to me but ehh.
I didnt mean i let the VC scrape the motor. That is nearly impossible to do without hurting it. I meant until the Surround is at the smallest point then it forces it back. Still not good for it but not horrible.
15's are bomb i will never go back to 12's people say there no good and there not a clean sound well thats shit i got a 15 inch kicker in my car and it pounds
Audiobahn 2 channel 1400 watt max and 1000 watts rms. I had it checked at UGCA and it is running 1160 watts rms. Im running this sub at 2 ohms. Its a really nice amp for only like $250-300

Not familiar with that car but if you are fitting an 18 in there... HA! Im sure your gonna need all the space you can get.
I need to make a video of my new setup though. I have a fiberglass box and a 10 incher that are molded into my rear seat. pretty sweet.

I have an airleak in my box rightnow because this damn sub broke it! So now i have to add some stiffening brackets in the box. Ya 15's thump!

nice sounds clean yo

Its really clean. It has amazing response for a 15 inch sub too. The sealed box is perfect! I thought it would be really sloppy.
