yo man get one that dose the crash sound makke sure they are 100% the same and the crt works and transfer the crts to eath other and add a 2 hdd if you can
i had a problem simalar to that on a powermac 7300/180. exactly same thing happened. but this thing had an external monitor. turned out part of the board was fried. popped in a new board and it worked
Well, at first I was thinking it was a power problem then you mentioned the purple sparks on the screen, which means it is getting power. The purple and the sparking would probably be due to a bad or possible bent prong on the computer connection. But, considering the age, "Get another CRT monitor". It could cause a fire if left on for any length of time.
