Question, Am "I" as in the thoughts/Mind?essence, the soul, Or is my consciousness a result of my brain and my body functions with a seperate Soul tagging along for the ride? What im asking is, When i Die, is it my consciousness that lives on, or do i die and the sole thats tagging along live on with the memories i had in my life?
If there are currently 6500 million of bodies on earth, and let say 2000 years ago there were only a 10% of bodies, there were no bodies enough for every soul. Any expert on reencarnation could explain this?
I am a Buddhist, at least I try to be, but am no expert on reincarnation or the philosophy. I'm about 90% sure the Buddha taught that there is no such thing as a soul that continues after death. He also taught that humans can be reborn as animals, and many other types of beings. And animals can become humans I think..
Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations.. but after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all (Each one including the Animals kingdom), then accept it and live up to it!
Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders.
Leanord, thank you so much for this. I can't really explain how meaningful this is to me. I'm ringing with resonation with every one of your videos that I watch. Vielen Dank!
Very confusing, I've heard many great teachers like Tony Parsons and Sailor Bob that say Karma and past lives are nothing more than more Mind stuff, if there is no "I" how can a mind construct need to DO anything? what can it do? can the thought "i see" see ?...can the thought "i hear" hear ?
Yes, GG74K - it's confusing because both views seem to cancel each other out, but they do not. There is truth to both. At the ultimate sense, yes, it is ALL MIND STUFF, but since we - at the mind level - have believed it into reality, then what Leonard J. says is "real" at the level of experience, just as what the body/mind experiences at this dense material level of reality is also "real" at the level of experience (which is not the "ultimate," or self-sourcing Reality or true Self).
This video is excellent because it fully explains the soul's journey and then leaves it up to the viewer to consider it or not. He didn't ask anyone to accept what he's saying. Instead, he suggested the viewer ask God and listen for the answer. What a teacher!
I love this video because it addresses life at the soul level. Leonard is so clear about not being for or againgst what he has to say, but truly turning to the source within to ask for proof, for the truth. We all have the capacity to know the truth when the mind is silent and we are Present. Thank you Leonard for generously sharing the life experiences you have had with others -- we are so blessed.
