One question Keith, regarding the comment about the legacy nature of the commands, you wouldnt say that about the default-gateway command when it comes to applying it to a layer 2 switch (for purposes of Telnet) would you?
You are right. The default-gateway command is alive and well, and used for the non "ip routing" (normal L2) switches to tell them about a default gateway to use if they need to reach a non local IP subnetwork, (such as returning telnet packets to an administrator who's PC is on a different IP subnetwork than than the switch's IP interface).
I just learned today about how eigrp, because has no "default-information originate" use "ip default-network" to distribute his route of last resort to other eigrp routers that are not connected to the internet.
I like the intro, but maybe it s a little bit loud )p
Hi Keith, this video is amazing and I like your way of explaining. Thanks a lot for taking some time out of your schedule to make and upload these videos. Your videos are always highly informative. Keep it up !!!!!

Very nice video indeed :) Thanks for putting this up. I myself been confused with these commands for quite a time :)
Guess its also a valid way to set a default route in EIGRP without redistribution.
Can't understand why didn't they engineer EIGRP to have something like "default-information originate" :)

Thanks!!! Great video as always...
Not trying to be overcritical, but the intro sequence seems rather unnecessary. (and loud)
