Bigger wheel harder work for engine! Right now a set of 20's will be like running a 3.29 rear gear so top end good accel sucks

I have a question! If ya can help I have a 95 ford crwn vic with - custom basani x pipe, couple sensor changes for few more horse power! I have a custom 2. 5 pipe ran all the way back from my headers to tips! 4" tips - Throttle body change with 75mm spacer and came with interceptor package! Its pretty cool and quick and sounds great! My question is I just bought some 4.10 gears to put in what do you think it's going to do? It's not going to hurt anything other than gas milage right?

(1) it wont hurt your miledge that much really

(2) your car will feel about a thousand pounds lighter from a dead stop

(3) youll gain low end acceleration with the 4.10's

(4) youll lose some top end speed with those gears, but if you live in a major city, that wont matter anyways

ok you are wrong and right, i made a mistake 90% of crown vics have 3.23 gears INCLUDING P71s, police can order 3.55 gear ratio which SOME have but nobody puts in 3.73 stock! 2.73 gear ratio is common on most civi models (Lx )

you have to tint them yourself. look up the spray called niteshades made by VHT. thats how you smoke them.

yea you just prep the surface and do a light coat. wait a little bit and see how you like it. you want to go darker just add another coat and keep going untill you are happy with the darkness. but i mean you have to be comfortable with painting the lights so practice on some scrap plastic first.

i used VHT to. i put 2 coats on the tail lights and reverse lights then 2 on the front corner lights and 1 coat on the headlight. i had to buy some cheap fog lights because that one coat on the headlight made where you cant see nothing!

yea you can buy them anywhere... P71 is just a stripped down LX sport. there is nothing really spectacular about it.  Marauder is totally different, 32valve V8 versus a 16 valve V8 in the crown victorias and marquises. and well a ton of other differences.

04+ vics got the 80mm MAF that increased the hp to about 235, also you have a redesign (for the better) of the suspension and braking system on all 2003+ years. 05s also got the newer style steering wheel and they are the only year to have an external mount antenna, all other years have the antenna built into the rear window

2001 crown victorias have about 225hp to the engine new...used after police use you are looking at maybe around 190hp to the wheels if that. price wise varies around country anywhere from about $2000-3500 for a decent one
