  • Tsui Sheung tin is the one and only wing chun legendary left behind these days regardless the rest who are called grandmasters. The fact of matter is that there was only one grandmaster Yip Man who passed away in 1972 and "grandmaster" in chinese as "chung-sze" which means the highest rank in certain style or system.

  • I think his question is rather about how to NOT strain your muscles since it seems to be the core of siu lim tao, relaxing and still applying force to the other person. I also don't understand how to do it haha

  • @Scythehalotrial practice, practice, practice. The most important thing is to not stop just because your shoulders are sore. Very important. If your partner refuses to continue, find another!! Also, I have found kundalini yoga very beneficial for increasing shoulder stamina and relaxation abilities, but this is personal for me.

In my own experience, I have found the best training occurs when soreness sets in. I finally become relaxed, due to most of my strength having been drained away!

  • Pretty much any Art can use the Mook Jong, Wing Chun / ving Tsun are the most known....though Choy Lay Fut also makes use of the Jong. I have a background in both, But I use it with Kenpo, sometimes shotokan or tae kwon do. The Jong can be built into the practice of which ever style you study, it is not system specific.

    Blessing,

    David

I've know tai chi stylists and Mauy Thia guys who use the jong.... the options are somewhat limitless.

  • Can somebody tell me what martial arts uses the mook jong? I would like to practice with one but have no idea what form of martial arts to take in order to be able to do so

  • Relaxed but still apply a lot of force...how?! when I chi sao with fellow students our shoulders are sour withing minutes....i just can't relax my shoulders or something >_> anyone who is able to do so and wants to give some hints?

  • Just noticed this but he has an amazing posture

  • One of the greats. There's a few WC guys out there who's credentials and skills are indisputable. Chu Shong Tin is one of them.

  • Where can I buy this DVD ? °Sigung Chu Shong Tin's Realistic Fighting° !?

  • my sifu trained under leung sheung and then sigung chu! =)

  • 师公!佩服佩服!我是Lai William师傅的徒弟,而我从他有两年的经历!下年我就来见你!我很期待我们见面的时候!加油师公!

  • No wonder Ip Man was claimed to have said in an interview that Chu Song Tin was the student whose skills surpassed his own.

  • the grandmaster is charismatic

  • I love how on the video where Sigung Tsui is doing Siu Lim Tao, a million people just HAVE to comment on why they think he's doing it wrong. In the comments to this vid, they're all so quiet all of a sudden!

It's so easy to critique SLT when done differently to their own schools, but there's nothing they CAN say when they see sigung throw a heavier person around with his tan sau. Let's see THOSE people try to get this sort of power...

  • To FredRekkage:

And the most important thing is that sigong is releasing his power in a very relaxed way.

There's once all his students lined up to do chisao with sigong. You might think that the first few students must feel hard to do, and the final students gets easier because sigong might be tired.

What happened is exactly the opposite: the more sigong gets tired, the more relaxed he is, and the final students actually turned out harder and harder to move him.

  • Now this man is a true master, he is without doubt the highest authority in WC left...he not only learned directly from Yip Man but he paid his dues in learning over a long period of time. I say this even though I am not from his lineage. There are too many WC masters that only learned for 2- 3 years then started teaching claiming mastery. This man spent decades learning and spent his lifetime practicing. Truly an inspiration.

  • im happy that this master you are talking about is my grandmaster, my sifu's sifu

  • I'm Happy to say he is my grandmaster too my sifu's name is Sifu Lit in Vancouver BC =D

  • same!!!

  • wow...he only uses one arm, he still has one free arm, and a free leg, and the other one to stand on.

  • Excellent, real WingChunfrom a real Master

  • ngo serng.. ngo serng.. lol xD

    great vid

  • my master is training, discussing and exchanging wing chun knowledge together at present... here in london... yes he is truly a great grandmaster.

  • High level skills.

    Excellent Fajin...

  • A few years ago I had the honor of touching hands with Chu Shong Tin; he put me on my ass before I'd even registered that his hand had moved. It was a damn near religious experience.

  • @insectmessiah that is hilarious

  • very nice, thank you

  • wowowow this is truely awesome

  • this si what i have been argueing with so many people over on. this the real Ving Tsun based on proper energy and positioning.

  • I am very Impressed by this guy. One of the best Masters around.

  • Proud to say he is my sigung too :)

  • Now that is real Wing Chun from the Grandmaster. Very good to see.

  • He's incredible in person. He's the frailest-looking dude and he can just throw you around. If he's touching you you will go exactly where he wants to put you no matter what you do to resist.

  • ahh.. isn't it nice to finally have some decent wing chun on youtube? tsui seung tin is my sigung, so it is very satisfying to see him on here!

  • realistic fighting ... wow

  • chu has something.

  • ahahha dam i knew someone was gonna put this on youtube people that is real wing chun right there

  • WOOHOO...SUPER... more more more!
