-sigh- Medicine is a no-go. Homepathic medicine is also a no-go. The only legitimate remedy was using the wash cloth. There is absolutely, positively no reason to give a child any sort of medication or even Vitamin C. Vitamin does nothing for the human body. It does not promote or help anyone, including babies, get better.

Just do a little research. It's best to let the child deal with the irritation of teething. Use an infant toothbrush and help clean the gums to prevent bacteria. If you try to "numb" the pain, the child will always think they need to take medicine in order to feel better. You would be, in effect, conditioning the child to believe the medicine is the answer anytime you feel ill. Please consider your child's well-being before putting things in their body that weren't meant to be there.

@randled13 This makes me sick to my stomach. Do you have any idea how much pain little babies are in while teething? Not to mention the fact that most tend to get sick while teething ie) Cough, Fever, Runny Nose. There is NO reason to let a tiny child suffer through something that is completely manageable! All ANYONE is considering is their child's well being while medicating them for something that SHOULD be medicated.
