This skit has Roman history all wrong. No Caesars ever "parlayed" with Cleopatra. Julius Caesar installed Cleopatra as a vassal and the next Caesar, Octavian/Augustus, destroyed Mark Antony in war and Cleopatra killed herself. Egypt was a province in the Roman Empire.

@ahmaer: British humor is in general more cerebral than American humor, but this sketch is not a good example. The Inventions sketch by the same group is much funnier. This sketch is just a bunch of people blubbering about going "he...him...I...caesar...". The best British humor of all time are "Yes Minister" & "Yes Prime Minister". The American serial Seinfeld is just as good.
