I still show it at open evenings and to the new AS students to steer them away from physical violence / torture / suicide / mutant zombies which all seem popular choices when making a film for the first time.
Great short! Love the editing style and the music. Like many others commenting, I'm also a film studies student and love seeing such enthusiasm from other people.
that aint too bad, u musta had a nice bit of time n a budget for that, i did my project in two nights and with a cheap ass shared camrea from my school, still got an A for it tho, but uhh yea, not bad work, bit dry,, just dragged on like a hooker on a bumper after u hit her.but all in all, a nice piece of work.
As for the blood, I actually just used some pretty rubbishy fake blood from a fancy dress shop, but it looks a bit more realistic, I hope anyway, due to the contrast effects I put on the footage.
I'm impressed. This is WOW! I'm a film studies student looking for inspiration and this really did make me think. I loved the way the music influenced your title and also it went well with the film. Bravo! x
Hey, it's funny you ask that. Today in Film Studies we were discussing the same thing. I personally think that its just generally easier to make a dark and grim film than a happier one. The things used for a dark movie are so much easier to sort out. Also, thinking of the story line is easier.
For our class, it's kind of hard to make a happy film in november lol. With the weather being all dark and bleh and coldd.
very impressive. i especially love you moved the camera and perfect balance between the plot/image and the music. was very evokative and well produced. i say you have a enderlying talent here that could grow into something spectacular if you nutured and fed it.
Hey I am going into film. I am already a unemployed Screenwriter lol. I wish to one day Produce and Direct. I want to know if you get the same good education in Film Studies you would get in Film Production. Alot of people have been telling me that Film Studies is more so philosophie and theory than actual Production education. I would like to further my skills in Screenwriting, Directing as a Producer.. Please reply
A Level courses do focus alot more on the theory side of things however if you take a Degree in Film Studies most uni's appear to offer a variety of modules including things such as those mentioned.
Hey, no problem, I got it off a CD I bought. The album 'Furious Angels', but it came with a bonus Instrumental disk. You can probably find it in a record shop, but I no its defiantly on Amazon.
Hope that helps!
And once again, thanks to everyone for their comments!
If anyone wants to watch my film that im planning to submit for this years a2 work check out my vid.. i would be very greatfull for any comments / surgestions on how to improve it.
But this by far is the best a2 coursework iv seen :)
Big Wow... I'm thinking of doing film studies As/A2.. but 0.0 I hope you were the best in the class or something. If it's average I don't stand a chance.
But yeh, to answer your question, Im not entirely sure what camera I used, I borrowed it from a mate of mine, I no it was pretty top end though and from Sony.
The Editing suit I used was 'Sony Vegas Movie Studio', you can download a free trial of it from google.
As for grade, overall (including my exam)I was a couple of marks off an A, so the film was either an A or a high B.
Hello Marcello!
Hope you are well.
I can confirm that your film got 45/45, an A*!
