LOVE THIS SONG!!!! as a life long fan of wrestling for 26 years i must say i miss the old days. Wrestling is in danger of fading away, its no where near as popular as it was, WWE is struggling to sell out, having to cancel shows, TNA isnt able to take off, their arent as many good superstars as it was in the good ole days, I still watch, but its hard. WCW definitely had some top talent before the Hogan circus ran WCW dry...World title contenders/main eventers were aplenty-- Rick Rude, Flair, Simmons, Sting, Vader, Steamboat, Davey Boy (93), Windham. I wish WCW would have used Ron Simmons as a major heel main eventer in early '94 after he had turned heel!

Agreed 100 percent, honestly before Hogan WCW was much better in the in ring talent than WWF at the time but Hogan screwed it all up. and Had they given Simmons a good heel push i think a match with he and Hogan could have drawn good money, the only problem is Simmons would have gone WAY heel because the WCW fans would have booed Hogan.

Simmons starting using the Slam Jam theme in 1992. End of story. A week into his title reign, he switched to the Slam Jam theme. Matches of Simmons' on TV during that time featured the Slam Jam theme.

No. Simmons had the Doom theme when he won the WCW title, and about a week into his reign, he was given this theme as a babyface.

I don't think that's right. Simmons won the belt in August 1992. I watched Halloween Havoc 92 where Simmons wrestled Barbarian and Starrcade 92 where he wrestled Steve Williams and he had the Doom theme in both matches. Being that this theme is from the Slam Jam album, which I think came out in 1993, I don't think he started using it until sometime in 1993. I know Rude switched his theme in 93 & I think Sting too along with several others w/ themes on the Slam Jam album.

Isn't this his 2nd theme when he was a heel? His 1st theme I think was the same theme as he had in Doom. That's the one he had in 92 & earlier when he became champ after beating Vader. I loved that theme, though this one is cool too.

Yeah. As was the case with Rick Rude & Ricky Steamboat, Simmons did much better in WCW than in WWE. I like Hogan, but I admit WCW was much better before Hogan showed up. Simmons, Vader, Austin, Dustin Rhodes, Johnny B Badd, 2 Cold Scorpio, Steven Regal, Brian Pillman, Cactus Jack & maybe Maxx Payne would have stayed in WCW for a long time rather than go to WWE had Hogan not joined. WCW was building up its future stars in 1993-94 prior to Hogan. Those were my favorite years of WCW.
