The automatic in the gtr is a twin clutch semi automatic. It is much quicker and efficient than any manual. The gtr can beat many cars with more power than it because it shifts so fast and has very aggressive gearing. Look at the rpms in the gtr during this race. He never went much over about 5k so he was not trying this is no race because the gtr never went full throttle.

wow the gtr driver short shifted in every gear, watch how he only shift at 5.5k rpm. Not the best result for a gtr. Although the gtr is a turbo engine, shifting at 7k will give you the best result.

They are not always winning. The new kings are the Underground Racing Lamborghini's and Ford GT TTs. The fastest Supra is SW's Boost Logic that kicked butt in the standing mile at 243mph. An UR Lamborghini TT hit 250mph in it, and the last I heard a Ford GT TT hit 253mph.
