  • hahaha

  • witch clown was saying the zx9r,s r shit? they must know fuck all about bikes but i would not go as far as saying there a better bike then the blade or the early r1!

  • 3:20 !! !! !!! LOLOLOL

  • hehehehe...i like this video....its playing game on the road :))

  • im 18 n just bought a 2000 model, cnt wait to go n pick it up :D

  • lol,i`m 20 and i have a GSX-R 600,but i don`t have yet a driving liceence,so i can`t wait to get it:D

  • ur profile says ur 39

  • wtf were they trying to piss him off or wut?

  • im getting a suzuki gsxr srad when im 18, i cant wait

  • LOL to young to ride a 600.. and even restricted i dont see the point in doing so, i have a 400. perfect for me and i have a ZX7R. gain some experience before getting a big bike. you will be grateful in the long run. unless you want to die

  • im 18 and have a srad 600. a step up from my 250 but managable. not everyone is out there to die...

  • hmmmm yeah then you have had experience, most people dont. just want the fastest bike they can get. :)

  • wat does SRAD mean

  • suzuki ram air direct

  • dude i got a 05 r600 a month after i turned 17, and then got a k6 r750 three months later. gotta know how to ride and how to respect the bike or you gonna go down and go down hard. safety classes help a lot too.

  • getting a 600 after you trn 17 your not going to be able to use it properly any ways with no experience mate take some one that started on a small bike first there gonna beat you every time

  • i'm 19 and i'm gonna get a ninja 250r to start on, then moving to a larger suzuki, good idea?

  • hey, yh sounds alright but i would recommend no more than a 600cc like the one on the vid, but i wanna do the same as u, but ive passed my test last november and have a honda nsr 125 which has roughly the same bhp as the ninja 250r you want, good luck to you.

  • yeah dude sounds sweet, good luck to you man

  • yh good luck to you also, have you got the ninja 250 or just want to get one?

  • nah i just want one, but not so much anymore... i'm getting a mazdaspeed3 in about a year and i just saw a guy wipe on the highway doing about 90 and i had to swerve to avoid him. Kind of a buzz kill so to speak lol

  • oh n those 250 ninjas looks awsome look just like a 600,

  • iam 18 dude 19 in april, i started on a 250ktm that was a pile of wank, moved to a 600gsxr on last my license for careless driving lol, and ur insurance will cost u more den da bike mine was £1700 3rd party fire and theft,

  • I have no motorcycle skills, but a colleague of mine recommends riding some more civilised ~600 (something like Suz GSR I suppose) before getting a GSX-R. He went to SRAD from 250 like you did and well, he lives, but he had to awfully break his leg in the ankle to find out that going right for GSX-R wasn't exactly the brightest idea. The thing's a real beast and requires a very skilled driver.

  • And there's actually more about this little story: never ever go for a ride on something like gsx-r without proper protective gear. The above mentioned colleague of mine 'only' got his leg broken - according to people who saw him fell of the bike and literally plough up half of the field next to the road with his chin it was a damned miracle. It was no miracle though, it was a Shark RSR helmet...

  • a bike is only as fast as u make it go! a bad work man blames his tools!

  • I basically agree, but at the same time I think it's not that simple. It's easy to make a mistake while evaluating own skills and/or current situation on the road, especially for someone with little experience with comparably powerful bikes. And the problem with beasts like SRAD is that they are not tolerant to such mistakes at all.

  • also true!

  • what kind of mistakes? i'm thinking of getting a 97 SRAD 750. i know they're not as forgiving as other bikes but will it bite my head off leaning hard in a corner? i don't get it

  • I just bought a GSXR 600 1997 from a 250... you've got me worried now.. lol

  • get a restricted srad (33BHP) then when you feel safe on it de-restrict it

  • no get a suzuki gsxr 250 alot quicker

  • its ugly as shit

  • ur gonna tell me that an old gixxer 250 is faster than a gixxer 600? what r u? stupid?

  • This is what the Ultimmate history of fast bikes states about the 97' GSXR 600V (which I own!!):- Even the GSX-R750 seemed almost laid-back and sensible compared to the GSX-R 600 with a top speed of 155mph with a 104bhp at 12,000rpm, I've seen 150mph with not much left. I had a race with a new BMW M3 and had to red line every gear up to 140mph to pass it over a two mile run. Love the bike but some of the speeds that some ppl are talking are impossible, Srad fat arses rule, bikes not riders.

  • my mate had a 98 model n he got caught doing 178mph by the police n all his had was an exhaust slip on...

  • 104hp? lol thats cute..

  • a fuckin scooter cud beat a d turbo!

  • WTF are you clowns on about top speed?? You don't turbo a bike like this for top end - its acceleration your after, if any of you had ridden a bike or driven a quick car you'd see how quickly he's pulling away in the vid.

  • WTF are you on about clown? That bike's not got a turbo. Try reading the title and watching the clip. You obviously know SFA about bikes or you wouldn't have made that comment.

  • just buy a bugatti if u want to...

  • haha funny!!NICE TRIP!!

  • i like bob marley while riding .

  • dont worry...about a thing...cos every little ting...gona be alright

  • Love the SRADS - they even look great compared to todays machines and sound lovely.

    Ride safe matey !

  • not on a rainy day

  • what a load of shit.

  • damn whats the speed limit there anyone know???

  • 60mph

  • shit realy looks more like 90mph

  • 70 on dual carrage and motorway

  • your laugh is infectious haha

  • zomg L2 use a camera.

  • the top speed for the 600 k6, according to suzuki is 165mph on a standard bike (gun tested). Even tuned up with all the gadgets fitted you will not acheive much more but you will get there a lot quicker and not always on two wheels..lol Your 1200 will always be quicker in a straight line however this does not mean a 600 will not go quicker than 150!

  • 89 FJ1200 = 130.00 HP (94.9 kW)) @ 9000 RPM

    89 FJ1200 = W 259.0 kg (571.0 pounds)

    04 GSXR600 = 115.00 HP (83.9 kW)) @ 12700 RPM

    04 GSXR600 = D 163.0 kg (359.4 pounds)

Your mate can't ride then. We're talking a power to weight for the GSXR of 0.7055 HP/kg compared to 0.5019 of the FJ. Sure you can take torque into account but the sheer weight of the FJ cancels that out.

Sorry mate math doesnt lie. Enjoy your old man bike.

  • haha nice work droy, very in-depth

  • i've been watching too much Numb3rs :S

  • I've taken my 04 gix 600 over 150 so that isn't true. The reason you blow them away is probably because your the better rider. It's all about the rider. My friend has a 97 gix 750 and he blows all the brand 1000 ccs away. Why, he rides better! The right rider can smoke most 1000s on a 600. Unless all you are doing is just rolling on into high speed in a straight line, having alot of ccs doesn't mean anything.

  • Everybody need to understand that just because the speedo reads 170mph doesn't mean you're going that fast. Bike speedos are very inaccurate at high speeds. Look up the SRAD 600 in an old magazine test and you'll see that it tops out at around 155mph.

  • i have a 600 k6 with an m4 pipe, power commander, b&n filter, mapped and dyno for mid range. the dyno read 166 mph when the bike read 178mph!!! cans and shit don't make the topend faster just how quick you get there....

  • like matey said, i,ve got the same srad as the vid with just an a r t can on the end, i,ve looked down an seen it 155/160 with nothing else to give, 2 be honist i dnt make a habit of staring at the speedo much after about 130 starts getting a bit hairy, getting an r1 for the summer, we,ll see how fast that thing goes.

keep an eye out for them pigs evryone!

  • vraiment nul !!

c'est anglais comparé un GSXR et une 306D !

la Gsxr les bouffes en 2eme

  • Nice video.

  • 270kph times by 5 divide by 8 =168.75MPH

  • ive got 06 gixa 600 does 270KPH top speed. stock bike. 90kg rider inc jacket and helmet. i dont know what 270kph is in mph. so yer.

  • Sounds good with a standard can on it awsome!

  • the best movie about srad EVER

  • When i drive with the visor open, i`m not able to see anything at that speed -.-

  • thats y u have 2 keep it closed

  • stock 600 wont pass 160mph maybe a lil more with a skinny ryda

  • bullshit i have a 07 gsxr 600 did 170

  • bullshit did you. get the speedo calibrated and try again.

  • are you serous? i have a gsxr 600 2002 and i can do 160 easy never did 170 tho, but r u serious? on my kawasaki 500r last summer i was doin 140 max

  • 500r isnt a sports bike.

  • @droy333 compared to a harley it is :D

  • i had a lifan 125 before my SRAD 600, the clocks told me i was doing 100mph on my 4 stroke 125... doesnt make it so!

ive seen 167ish on my SRAD clocks, but i doubt it is that fast.

  • p.s 99 gsxr 600

  • i got the same bike, i,ve had 155 i,m telling you it wont do much more, maybe 165 at a push. my mate got a 57 plate zx6 we ride side by side flat out at about 155. mine pisses on him 0- 100 tho so i,m happy

  • I had my K7 GSX-R 600 up to 153mph with -1 in the front +2 in the rear with a speedo

  • took a k2 gsxr 600 (standard) to italy a few years ago. Had it flat out on the motorway for a miles and it was reading 159mph for ages soon as it got to 160 i gave up. I bet that was only 150mph with speedo inacurracy taken into account

  • Well the brand new busa was measured at an actual 171mph when the speedo indicated well over 180 (RiDE magazine, this month). If you think a standard SRAD 600 is capable of the same sort of speeds, then you're entitled to your belief. More likely you've altered your gearing making your speedo over-read even more than it does already. If your bike's capable of such speeds, then prove it. Mount a GPS to your bike, video it doing that speed then post it up here. Then I'll believe you. Homie. lol

  • 4 strokes dont have a powerband so ur wrong there!!

  • Ah, Ya they do. Just not as intense as a two stroke. I own both, and they do.

  • Agreed ajgsxr, 2 strokes are roughly twice as powerful by convention, hence why the the powerband is more intense

  • all internal conbustion engines have a powerband... including your car and your lawnmower...

  • your a bunch of dickheads. why do you go round challanging people to races all the time. it just made me laugh that everytime he opened the throttle you practicly reversed up the motorway. cars are shit and if you wanna keep up with us bikers your looking at spending 500,000 on a car.

  • ähm yes the 600 or 750.... the first has 600 cmm and the other 750 so the 750 has more power

  • fuck dude its the 600. the 750's never had shitty forlks..

  • hey can anyone tell me the diff between the gsxr600 and 750? i mean the price diff is so little, y would u choose a 600 over a 750? is the 600 much smaller/lighter or more powerful?

  • well erm the 750 does has a bit more horsepower as you would expect ,but usually the 750s are a bit more expensive but have a better sound and the 600s do tend to be a bit less reliable than the 750s i heard off someone

  • Looks like everyone answering doesn't or never did ride. Look, the main diference is the engine, the frame and evrything else are almost identical. ingine deference is obvios, 749cc vs 599cc the 600 revs higher and faster(for all the tards, has a higher redline), while the 750 has more hourse power an tourqe. so you ride them deferentley. Both are faster then most people can handle.

  • i never said i did ride, thats why i ask questions about what i should do. and i kno the diff between rpm for diff capacity bikes (and any other engines) but if you would carefully read my question, you might understand where im gettin at...

  • Dude I wasn't dissing you! I understand your ?. I was saying the others answering your question didn't sound like they knew what they where talking about:)

Example of defference: a 600 going through turns you would keep in a lower gear and keep the rpm's up to stay in your power band.

Were a 750 you could keep in a higher gear,

and just use the extra low end tourque to exit the turns. \m/

  • sweet as thx dude, wt bike would ya recomend in the 600's? (like Yammy, Honda, Suzuki or Kawi)?

  • I have a gsxr so I am biased, but they all are realy great bikes.

I don't think I would ever buy a Kawi, don't like the riding position.

    If I couldn't have a suzuki I would buy a yamaha.

    Good luck man!

  • yeah man thats what i heard... i guess ill buy whats cheaper, my 1st bike anyways... and i have an r6 available for 5500AUD so mite grab that wile i can...

  • do u think maybe you have to take the title with a pinch of salt??? come on retards there obviously mates and have just picked the bike up and are obviously not raceing are they, think maybe its just a laugh

  • Well said benzy. It's pretty obvious isn't it that they've just taken the guy to pick it up and they are on their way back home with it.

  • Why do they bother ? if a ferrari f430 can't take my 750 srad then a poo'y 306 has no chance against its younger sister the srad 600, GSXR's RULE

  • can any one tell me the top speed of an srad 600

  • 280 kmph is what it tops out at on the tack

  • cheers

  • ahahaha MATE> NO. srad 600 will do 250 stock at max u clown. my 06 600 does 280 at track. fucking get some common sence

  • hes talking kph by the way people. i agree with him ^^

  • sorry bro haha, but u cant tell me it doesnt when ive been that speed haha, shouldnt call ppl clowns homie haha.

i guess i shouldnt say my bike is stock, if u count having a Leo Vinci can, not the full system, but it doesnt add that much power!

    pz

  • righto..:)

  • so you're saying a stock gsxr600 with a can does 175mph? maybe the speedo does but the bike just wont.

  • on a dyno a zx6r and a gsxr600 put out 299kmh!! and thts 185mph

  • and this dyno simulates wind drag too? there's a massive difference in what it'll rev to on a dyno and what it can pull on the road. obviously you dont know this because you've never done it so stop preaching to the choir.

  • what im sayin is what a bike is capable of doin!! hence why i said on a DYNO!! so stop trying to act like the big man behind ur screen when u mis-interpet sumthin!!

  • narmimuyyuq, no he didnt, ure just a lieing fucker

  • he dint wat?? MAKE SENSE!!

  • The dyno accounts for wind speed you twit.

  • really? what dyno model's that then? or even which one or where at?

  • They know the drag coefficients which they apply to the resistence in the drum, the only thing the dyno doesn't account for is the ram air effect (increased air intake).

  • And air drag on the bike. and the rider. and what the rider's wearing. and changes in the road surface. and ambient temp. and wind conditions. and weather conditions. and altitude.

Actually there are quite a lot of things a dyno doesn't tell us.

They're only really good at getting rear wheel power figures. Thats great but its not going to tell you how fast a bike's going to go.
