It's funny because I tried exactly your way before searching for it on YouTube, and was becoming frustrated! "how on earth can I do it any other way??" I thought. Good to know it was the right way...but so annoying to know that I'm just about 1,000 points away each time. I'm thinking maybe just a few more wood and snow blocks should do this trick. :P definitely the most difficult so far.
