love yosemite, you just get lost and marvel at the beauty surrounding you. If your a photographer you have to go here for the first, second third etc etc time.
please watch my video on California, im a 14 year old beginner film maker, and i put a lot of work into this video it showcases highlights of southern california, i promise you wont be disappointed
I have been here 4 times and it still never ceases to amaze me. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting or living in California. Veronica, I really like your videos. Cheers from the SF Bay Area
You are not going to get anywhere "quickly" in Yosemite by riding the shuttle. It's no faster than walking because the drivers constantly take 10 minute"breaks" to smoke and whatnot, and they make many stops. When I worked there, we had to get off the shuttle and walk many times to avoid being late for work. We eventually just stopped riding the shuttle altogether and just walked everywhere. Riding a bikes is the fastest way to get around in Yosemite.
@LarryLane07 I guess it depends on how far you need to go. Certainly riding bikes is quick around the village, but we had good service on the shuttle during our last trip.
@Kimberly2Fan It's such a beautiful, magical place with so much to do. We love staying in the tents at Curry Village. Little bit rustic, but a few modern comforts as well. :)
Yosemite, one of California's best treasures, What great memories! My mom took me there when I was about 13, now I'm 23 Hmm.. I think it's time to go back, I'll visit during the spring.
@171Rut Hope you have a great time! We haven't received much snow this year, but spring is definitely the best time to visit for the waterfalls. I think we might be heading up this spring again, too!
@CaliforniaTravelTips Not sure, I went hiking there about... 7 years ago. I do remember passing a waterfall on a narrow stone pass though. Sadly when we were up there the fog had covered everything :(
And while you're there... Look for Paul "Bear" Vasquez... aka "The Double Rainbow Guy" as most know him.... Coolest man on earth and a true ambassador for Yosemite.
wow, i cant believe ive been stuck in southern california for 30 years now and never bothered venturing out too far, i havent seen so much of this beautiful state and its time to start. taking my family here this summer
We just came back from visiting Sequoia National Park and Yosemite. Yosemite has fantastic scenic views, but sadly, it seemed like every square foot of the valley floor has been trampled by humans. As I parked our car at the village, the roar of tour busses, the diesel exhaust, and dust that got kicked up overwhelmed me and almost made me cry.
The park is very touristy on the weekends and during summer, but if you go during the spring, fall, or winter, you will have no problem getting around.
we just got back from their 3 weeks ago beautiful sights of el capeton but lots of traffic leaving the park in mid summer when we took are rv up their in mid late june this year the tioga pass was closed from a land slide about half way up but great sights
@CaliforniaTravelTips we bottomed out our americancoach egal on our way to tioga pass and needed an other oil change getting back down it use in the engin break a lot
Hey Veronica, i really appreciate your traveling tips! I just have one question..Do you know of any good first-come first serve campgrounds in yosemite?
@CaliforniaTravelTips HI :) We are going camping for the very first time this summer and we were planning on going during the week. Since camp 4 is first come first serve what time do you think we should get there in order to get a campsite?
@MakeupGuruFanatic Just a warning when driving down there. Don't eat a big lunch before descending to the camp site. It's kind of a winding road. I'd have some candy while going there. Since it's you're first time, follow instructions and warnings. Their are wild animals there and it's no joke. Lastly, you'll be surprised how really long the days are without any forms of media.
This is truly one of the most beautiful places on Earth. I am very blessed to be part of a close loving family who takes a trip here every single year. I have been going to Yosemite since I was born and I have not missed a year. I love this place and it's like God took his finger, drew a line in the ground with it and Yosemite popped up behind it. I have so many memories of this place and more are sure to come.
@IchiDeux Wow! What an incredibly kind comment. That really made my day! It's funny how many people send such mean comments, and how refreshing and encouraging it is when someone appreciates the hard work we put into these videos. I quit my job a few years ago to pursue this, and we're still not making much money. My only gratification is knowing that the videos are helpful and that people are enjoying them. Thank you so much! :) Veronica
@adrenalinamille Hi there! I'd recommend climbing Half Dome, and also going on the shorter hikes to Yosemite and Bridalveil Falls. The Mariposa Grove and Glacier Point are also great places to check out. Be sure to rent a bike — it's a fun way to explore the valley. The tours are also worth the money because they take you to the most popular sites and offer a wealth of historical information. What do you want to know about Tioga Pass? You're going to have a GREAT time! :)

@MakeupGuruFanatic That's hard to say because people come and go at all times. I'd plan on an early morning to be safe.
