  • ...And thanks to women selfishly bearing children due to having all the reproductive rights we have too many fucking people on this planet and not enough to support all the people that currently live here, thanks women for being such short sighted cunts.

  • @cragmac1000 Is that a joke? lmao.

The reality is if women truly had reproductive rights (the right to safe abortions) then the population growth would be much lower, and indeed it is in developed countries with those rights. The real guilty party is misogynistic men would with-hold such rights, not to mention the misguided religious masses but that's a whole other ball of wax.

Also what are you really suggesting? That men should have the right to force women to have abortions? fuck you! lmao

  • He is right about scientific agriculture increasing population growth, the more food available, regardless of its nutritional value will increase population size because we have more food, but not good food.

  • 6:32 He's actually wrong about that. The increase of speed alone as a factor does not increase accidents, stupid fucking drivers increase the likelihood of accidents regardless of speed.

  • This guy he should take that the problem seriously and stick a shotgun in his mouth

  • The professor's very first statement about the population growth of the US is wrong. We are actually just below the replacement rate of 2.1 (total fertility rate is now at 2.09). Even the population growth of the world is slowing. The total fertility rate in 1965 was 5.0, but it is now about half of that, and approaching the mere replacement rate.

  • @mattelder1971 this was filmed in mid to late 90s

  • Thousands die in africa due to disease... natures taking care of our problem... he said it 8:30

  • I'm an aerospace engineer at CU-Boulder, and I think I speak for my fellow engineers that the average person NEEDS to be able to understand simple shit like this...

  • @MrMattZhu "simple shit" ?? most of the ppl i have tried to explain the beauty of the force of gravity that helps satelites to "circle around the earth" without almost no fuel needed, never understood what exactly i meaned when i told them that the satelited do not actually fly, but are in constant free fall towards the earth surface...and i am no scientist...i am just a bulgarian inmigrant in Spain who is good with mathematics...the problem is the ppl we are talking about VOTE.

  • Hm if only people had mastered the ability to build skyscrapers.

  • The right hand column is not an exhaustive list, I'd just like to point that out. ^^

  • only 1/3rd of the people who saw the first video followed to second video :O

  • @tarunbinny4u That said... I am one of the people who watched them ALL.

It may be true that not 100% watched every last video... but even so... I am here--now... and I watched them all.

In fact--this is my SECOND run through watching them.

Sad thing? I *STILL* feel fucking bloody powerless... :/

  • This guy is a good teacher. Makes it easy to understand and he uses practical examples.

  • People being born is a bad thing? EUGENICIST!!

  • @ikbinhans So you volunteer to die to make room for newly born people ?

  • "Everything we regard as bad helps solve the problem" contraception is bad?

  • @janjohandealgenman not necessarily, but the majority of people won't use contraception anyway, naive teenagers, devout Catholics (as well as other religious believers), a large amount of people won 't use contraception because it ruins sex, etc. etc. Its not so much bad as it is avoided.

  • 4:26 the death knoll of the human race...

  • 4:26 the death knoll of the human race...

  • what if we knew but we cant do shit abt it.. thats the shit.. not the arithmetic..

  • @knight2battle the point is that if people did understand the arithmetic they would put in greater effort to "do shit abt it"

  • @ERKRAKANARB like what? throw a few papers in a can.. turn off the lights? you can deprave yourself of electricity.. that wont change shit.. if big rich ass industries and companies pour floods of shit in the atmosphere and you want to feel guilty while rich coporates sleep with ease fucking super models.. yeah even that thought is depressing coz the thought of making up into society especially in business means ppl stabbing your back and always depending on luck.. talk is easy dimbo..

  • Birth rate in my country is low, thats bad for our country but obviously good for the planet lol

  • it should be noted that immigration, by itself, does not create more people. it simply relocates them from one place to another.

and there are places with extremely low population densities. especially on other planets... <_<

  • @ertyqwer i like your thinking!

  • @ertyqwer actually thanks to evolution cross breeding of cultures and ethnicity often leaves offspring with stronger immune system or a wider variety of positive traits. People don't realize but ever slowly generations are filtering out useless or unhealthy traits.

Immigration promotes the likely hood of new genes mixing into the family and stronger traits being passed down.

Not to say that its bad, I'm just making the point.

  • @ertyqwer

talking about arithmetic: When Earth is full, how long does it take to fill another planet like Earth, if the population grows at 1% per year?

  • watched all 8, then showed 10 others, then burned it on a disc and left it at my firehouse =)

  • 25,000 prediction was fairly accurate.

  • Gall bladder surgery................

  • natures got nothing to do with aids search aids on Google you'll find it has a patient number and a cure

  • just stop reproducing for 70 years problem solved without all the dissasters

  • @Outboundz Then the human race would become extinct. If the child that is born this sec and all people in the world stop reproducing for 70 years, and that child is said to have lived out it's life expectancy, then there would not be any offspring after those 70 years, so the whole race will either die in a matter of 10 years due to both natural and unnatural causes.

  • @FCM0nkey :D i know hehe, but still problem solved except we dont benefit:)

  • I am just wondering are these figures also including the death rate drop off in the population? i mean people do die off naturally . Then we have wars and famine ect? As for the Gay's contribution then that is a good reason why they should not be allowed surragte births and er marriage is it not?Just a question?.Mathematics have always been scary to me and espcially compound interest in banks...immoral if you ask me. A grey area in my thinking that should be addressed I'm thinking MMnnnnn.

  • yeahhh I think I'll go back to Joe Rogan's Podcast now, ziirrup PAYCE

  • How about Gay Marriage? that seems to be a strategy to decrease population

  • I followed this guy until he got to the Africa-AIDS thing. Africa's population has doubled in the past ten years. Anyone who gets sick and dies in Africa is called an AIDS patient.

  • i think we need to kill each other??????

  • i wish i had been there, i would have laughed at his jokes. lol

  • so what?, some people will suffer some will enjoy. it does not matter the growth, the thing the matter the most is where in the bell curve you are.

  • if i launch a bunch of math at you, will you view me as an authority and then swallow any nonscientific opinions i throw at you without batting an eye?

  • I find it astonishig, that he disregards the option "smaller families" in the right list. In my opinion it is the only non-scaring option at all. I know well enough that the idea of a one-child family is controversial and not very satisfying for many. But it would be the lesser of all evils provided it is discussed and established on high ethical values.

  • MY GOD OLD MAN GET TO THE POINT!!

  • I'd like to hear his reasons for adding "Stopping imigration" to his list of means to lower population.. Where people are has nothing to do with the numbers. Stop racism.

  • @Umsebum people immigrate for better quality of life. Better quality of life results in longer life, less death. Pretty simply to be honest. It's not racism, its statistics, which has no opinion.

  • @Umsebum Note quite. As the preponderance of immigration, historically, has been the movement of developing world populations to developed nations, where mortality rates decrease, immigration has in fact contributed to an overall increase in the global population. Don't assume he is a racist and we'll not assume you're intellectually lazy.

  • Well the good thing is all scientific knowledge doubles every 18 months. Whatever problems we have will soon be solved.

  • There's a big diff between national and global trends, so this talk about one person per square meter is a little extreme.

  • OK I read Tragedy and Hope; the intro talked about these population trends. Problem is is that history is moving forward, not backward- I don't think he's necessarily right about 0% growth. That means a perfect balance of births and deaths in a generation. Trends in ag, transport, industry, etc have lead us to the current trend. This trend is that of hightened pressure on the prime-aged population because of high birth and low death rates. It is a trend that is making its way to China eugtoo

  • Get this "Table of Options" in the video to Bill Gates and his "Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation". Vaccinations and other prevention by his Foundation increasing population and that according to this 80 years old professor Bartlett, is doing more harm then good! Did anyone heard what is that foundation doing to decrease population and increase quality, not quantity?

  • Thank you for making me feel more educated about the exponent rule. But in regard to Contraception is evil" and "Nature taking care of the problem with AIDS" in poor African countries, fuck you. Your opinions in those regards sound uneducated and unintelligible. I was actually going to watch the entire ridiculous 8 parts, but now I see that you are a propagandist, a nazi, a zionist. Wake up to lies soaked in truth world citizens..

    CONRACEPTION FOR EVERYONE.

    And you can't fix Catholicism.

  • @BlackTreeNewsic after watching this video, i think your comment is a total misrepresentation of what he said. He stated very clearly that people can either choose from the list of things which will decrease the population, or nature will choose on its own. When he put contraception on the list of things that decrease population, he didnt say that he thought it was a bad thing, just that everything on the list was considered bad by someone. Nor did he make any attempt to say aids was good.

  • @zyodei The problem is that you can't reason with nature and laws of physics, that is what he proves.

  • This old fool is a good example of why the environmental movement is discredited in many peoples' eyes.

Humans are not bacteria. Past trends do not necessarily predict future trends. Just because the price of bread doubled over the last X years, doesn't mean it will do so again. There might be deflation; there might be hyperinflation. Humans have complex motives. The western countries are in a crisis because no one is having children; his prediction is flawed.

    Mathematics!=Social Science

  • Fuck the nwo! Viva la resistance. make a stand and be heard. 1 of us is but a grain of sand but together we are invincible! " to an extent" let our voices be heard! Cmon ppl!

  • well dear sir mathematician AIDS is not nature. Its an artificial entity created to destory and cut the population. AIDS IS NOT NATURE!

  • I am afraid that as the world's population increases the value of human life is gonn a drop. Unfortunately in some countries the value of human life has dropped so low that its unthinkable. The brutal honesty of mathematics..... this is why the so called new world order is preparing for world war 3 to get rid of approximately 5 billion people and start over again.

  • Addressing the population issue from a purely mathematical vantage point is dubious. It is ok for the population to increase so long as we use resources more efficiently and expand into new spaces where traditional resources are not depleted (self-sustainable). Technology continues to open up new places to live, as the need arises to settle new spaces, the "population boom" will begin to resemble a population bust... In fact, many statisticians are worried about a lack of labor, not an excess.

  • 3.5 million people saw part 1... Dwindling ratings!

  • zombie apocalypse would solve the population crisis

  • part 2 even better than part 1, but you must have an IQ above 50

  • 132 people divided 2,558 views by there each own individual mouths and found out that 869,985 thousand turds came out of each one!

  • @ArtOfSelfReliance Your mum must be so proud. 15 years of education, and you know how to multiply using a calculator.

  • do you really think there will be more born children on the world, when people immigrate to your country.

    Guess again.....

People in lets say africa take the double amounts of children just for earning a little money and to be sure to be taken care of when parents are old.

Like we did in the old days in the west (8 to 14 children).

so in fact immigrations helps the number of people on this planet to go down.

  • One important factor is missing from the right hand list:

    .....

    .....

    .....

    homosexuality

Now what is the evolutionary agenda of your religion?

Does it tell you to take vows of celibacy? live simply? consume few resources? avoid consuming meat?

or does it sing "fight the good fight, with all thy might"?

  • @driansanders What on earth do you mean? Presumably, you're not suggesting that heterosexuals ought to decamp.

  • what about mass sterilisation? its already happening in india. anyway the population of some countries will drop when the baby boomers die

  • lol stop immigration

    lol

ofcourse this will never stop the growth

    please

Is he promoting newspeak from 1984:

    love is war

    ....please

Why doesn't he just say we want to enslave you give you bad living expectations and worse lifespan.

Dont ask what the government can do for you ask what you can do for the government.

  • @zwartekat1975

immigration does effect population growth that can be easily proven.

  • the growth rate of viewers is -77% for this video !

  • I actually found this video 50% more interesting than the previous video. On to number 3...

  • @peaps That leads to a doubling of your like of the second video compared to the first in the space of 1.4 years!

  • The free market addresses population problems. Population growth slows as costs rise, like Japan

  • @tommy35ss implying your opinion is based on actual data. You're funny guy. But alright, let's do something to increase costs in Africa. That'll help them.

  • @DerEchteSenf Well look at the birth rate in Japan along with the average age. I don't believe Africa is a good example because there is so much corruption and war going on over there that causes food shortages, along with fact that the dollar is devaluing causing inflation and food prices to rise. Much of the reason behind the Arab spring has to do with food prices if you look it up.

  • America, using bombs to try and reduce the doubling time of the population.

  • Thank your own god, for people like Dr. Bartlett, who remind us all that regardless of the fact that we're so many on such a small place that we're all going to die, and given the advances (arithmetically, exponentially, according to his theories) in education and socialisation, an absolute obligation from the privileged few to ensure that their education is used to distribute wealth more evenly and ensure a species which can actually use it's intellectual superiority to ensure it's survival..

  • @mandy2000au Socialized education doesn't help anybody, that's why everybody is so stupid in the U.S. Competition makes everything better

  • Why does YouTube give me"Anne Coulter shows her ass" because I watched this?????????????????????????

  • @jlambc12 who cares just hit number 3 :)

  • @MrAgnost - I wached all eight. Think I'll do it again

  • @jlambc12 me too I think i'll need to watch them all a couple more times to fully comprehend this insanity that is being applied to business and inflation cycles

  • You americans are stupid humanity today its type zero civilazation if you americans and old fool like these one stop fucking around cause the americans idiots create this system of money and coruption governant thas the humans on this planet never goin to involve so dislike for me

  • @powerkidO7 well you certainly showed those stupid americans, what with your impecable spelling and senseful phrasing!

  • @opsimathics impecable?

  • @powerkidO7 Propaganda 1 - Youtube people filter 0

  • aids was man made and intentional not nature

  • @jiminiflix and I'm sure that the CIA has a universal constructor in the backyard making the 2.0 version with nanotechnology right now! lol

  • Speaking as a mathematician, cleaver and dumb at the same time. I am more optimistic. if we can only get the banksters and the M.I.C. out of the way, we could focus on colonising the cosmos. That should hold back the doubling issue for a millennia or two.

  • @01egna, barring the sudden discovery of some form of FTL travel that makes the warp drive in Star Trek look barbarically primitive, we would never be able to emigrate a sufficient number of people from the Earth to make a dent in any real rate of population growth. The benefits of colonization are for species survival - but it wouldn't do anything to manage the earth's population.

  • The # of views from video 1 to video 2 dropped by 77%.... I'm not even going to look at video 3

  • @Samutsu7 this is because people are uneducated and cannot understand it. so while the world is going down based on facts like this video shows, nobody will notice.. :)

  • Comment removed

  • @Samutsu7 i guess the 23% that didnt leave are the ones who actually give a shit about the next generation.

  • @Samutsu7 - you may not like what he is saying, but you cannot deny the reality (cover your eyes if you wish, it won't make it go away!). Part of the reason we have the huge global economic problems of today are due to growth in population vs finite resources.

  • @Samutsu7 Because people are unable to think and absorb what they watch. If it was some music video by Snoopy Poopy Dogy, you would have an increase in viewers.

  • I think they should start lowering the population first in Boulder.

  • lol this reminds me of the office, when they stated the world needs a new plague.

    now im starting to agree

  • We'll be living in space before a shortage of land surface is a problem. That said, say no to procreation.

  • For America population growth is from immigration our birthrate is only 2.06 per woman which is barely enough to keep your existing population . Something most Western Countries have in common. The world population problem is in 3rd world megalopolis's like Mumbai, Karachi, Cairo. America would only need to stop immigration to stop pop growth. Unfortunately that would require a change in economic philosophy of US!

  • @JasperXoR Wake up, we have one planet, learn to share, or see the demise of your own offspring.

  • Obama took care of the growth

  • Educated and wealthy families tend to have smaller families as these families have far lower death rates so their birth rates tend to be closer to 2, which is the same number that replaces the two parents, zero net growth. Besides, this guy's argument is shite because it is stupid to think that growth is constant. I say let nature take its course and regulate the equilibrium herself. Fuck this Nazi

  • when he talks about how much stuff will cost in 70 years time that is irrelevant. Yes it costs more but that is because the currency is worth less and peoples incomes are adjusted with the rate of inflation

  • As the population increases our technological growth grows. Land on earth won't matter if we go into space (which is made possible by the technology growth caused by huge population). Also if buildings were 400 stories (possible b/c of the technology caused by huge population), boat houses, underwater structures, and artificial islands) etc... all throw the land resource predictions off.

  • @aoeu256 If your hypothesis that huge population causes technological growth was true Africa would be the most technologically advanced society. They would have the largest buildings and would be ready to launch their colonization of space program.

  • @BElliottP

1.)Its a textbook economical principle google population growth technology.

2.) Yes, it depends on the region, and the willingness of the ppl to improve their lives[religion says don't live for this world], but: our population has increased since the 1900s, yet life expectancy, earnings per hour worked, and education have all increased despite fewer resources per person.

If 10% of ppl are researchers/artists then you have more cool stuff when you have 1 trillion than 1 million.

  • @aoeu256 Oil is the reason for our technological advancement. It is estimated that one barrel of oil equals 25 000 hours of human labour. This frees up a lot of time that we would spend farming to pursue other endeavors (art and science). I'm not sure what you mean by fewer resources. If you live in north america you definitely consume way more resources than you did in the 1900s. Your claim that space colonization is the solution is absurd.

  • @BElliottP

A big reason we use so much oil is that the researchers who would find either more efficient ways of working, or alternate energy have not been born yet, or couldn't immigrate to research. Before oil coal was used and technology grew [dunno what your arguing].

Space colonization is long-term not short-term, and explain "absurd" to me in detail because I don't share your assumptions/insight; I don't want to fight: I want to debate. I need something specific I can respond to.

  • @aoeu256 Okay, so your solutions are 400 story buildings, colonizing space, keep popping out babies to find the next Einstein, "Waterworld" starring Kevin Costner (boat houses), people willingness to improve their lives (as if they decided to live in poverty). You should research colonialism and neocolonialism to learn more about why a majority of the worlds pop'n lives in brutal poverty. Also research the term "lobbyist" to understand how corporate influenced gov't suppresses new technology.

  • @BElliottP

I'll write more technology solutions; no those aren't the only technology solutions. I can't predict where technology will take us, but the point there are a million of technology solutions so even 1% viable is a lot.

"Keep popping out babies to find the next Einstein" - it worked in the past at least.

If you were going to heaven to live eternally, why worry about your finite life: this is a common belief among the poor, although by itself is not why they're poor.

  • @BElliottP

If we are no longer innovating like we did in the past then its true that reducing the population would increase prosperity. Why choose to reduce the population when you can increase innovation?

Reducing oil by technology (Not an exhaustive list)

    * Mass transit like in Asia/Eu saves gas

    * More efficient/alternate energy engines

    * Video conferencing, telecommuting (including school)

    * Virtual reality & gaming - travel-less fun options

  • @BElliottP

    technology & oil contintinued

    * Home appliances, new cell cultures[soy yogurt, growing meat directly, etc...], "auto-farming" - Allow the consumer to say buy some food ingredients in bulk[legumes, rice, sugar, etc...] and then time efficiently process them into food reducing the need to travel to the store all of the time. * Remote control robots/machines allow more telecommuting [for example, remote surgery]

    * More efficient heat control in homes

  • @aoeu256

    * 3D printers - Allow consumers to make solid objects so reduced need for travel. There is even talk of stem cell 3D printers to print organs and food.

    * [More to your argument about space colonization] - Its true that it takes energy to get out of a planet's gravity well, but you can get it back when you fall back into a planet. Also the space elevators reduce the needed energy to get out of orbit so space mining is possible in the future.

  • @aoeu256 3d printers could revolutionize waste. Imagine being able to print nearly every household item, not having to ever throw it away. I'm sure your entirely aware but the thought is very intriguing.

I'd make a prediction that we wont start colonizing space until we learn how to harvest energy from a star.

  • It should be included in every high school curriculum across the US. It makes sense in a very clear and definitive way.

  • "Stopping immigration" isn't a solution to population growth - that's just shoveling the existing population around. It doesn't matter WHERE the people are - we are all one interconnected world.

  • Comment removed

  • How are you going to think about the dryland space of the earth in only 2 dimensions. We have skyscrapers that hold tens of thousands of people in a city block. Fail.

  • @om3gadagg3r its also the definition of what the arithmetic population density is

  • @om3gadagg3r

Plus... And this is a very important one and seems to have been overlooked. The mass that makes up people is NOT being created. We quite literally come from the earth. We grow because we take in mass. You cannot have the mass of people even approach the mass of the earth. We would literally (pun intended) have to eat the earth first.

  • he kinda sounds like deckard cain from diablo O.o

  • He's wrong about education, particularly educating girls. It's one of the major reasons for the low population growth rate in the developed world (especially Japan) vs the developing world.

  • yeay, I am part of the solution! smokers rock

  • If the problem is too many people in too little space, why does everyone seem to think that reducing the amount of people is the only solution? Increase the amount of space! Now you say, "We can't make the Earth bigger!" But look up! We've got a perfectly empty chunk of rock (the moon) going around in circles up there. Not to mention Mars! The answer to the population problem isn't reduce the population, it's move the population off the planet! It's entirely possible if we want it bad enough.

  • I promote killing everyone BUT me. ^^ And I bet you 50% of a average monthly income at that time, that you will do the exact same thing sooner or later! Each any everyone of you who still lives. Because those who don’t, will be long dead by then… self-sacrificed for others. Natural selection finally working again. You can hate those facts all you like. I’m no fan of them either. (Except for natural selection, which is a good thing) But it’s going to happen. And I sure as hell will be prepared.

  • At 4:28 he mixes exponential growth with linear growth: 80 million per year.

  • Oh.... and population isn't the real problem... the real problem is lack of Education ;)

  • @F33DTH3F1R3F1LM5

Really? Population isn't the real problem? I hope you could say that when we hit 35 billion 'educated' people but still can't find a corner to take a shit without leaving it on someone's head?

  • @TheRide4pac -- Negatively project much? Isn't there enough shit on every corner already? You know, "shit"... aka gas stations, churches, drugstores, bars, car dealerships, strip malls, etc... LMFAO And, if you thought you asked me a question.... you didn't.... you just have bad grammar ;)

  • Comment removed

  • @TheRide4pac -- Educated people understand that opinions are irrelevant to facts, truth and reality.

  • @F33DTH3F1R3F1LM5

It is appaling how some "educated people" think their opinion is "fact, truth and reality" and the opinion of others irrelevant.

Now does that make education a bad thing? I think not.

  • @F33DTH3F1R3F1LM5 If people weren't so egotistically they wouldn't have children just to bring there name into the future. If people weren't abandoned emotionally as children, rape would drop significantly. If people understood love fluctuates(The reason marriage is foolish) they wouldn't get married and have child, witch is conditioned upon you from a little boy to do exactly that. What I'm saying is, overpopulation is a problem in values corresponding with lack of education.

  • @teewilson333 -- agreed =) hence why I am not married and have 0 children. I am being the change I'd like to see in the world... instead of selfishly defending part(s) of the problem because I was dumb enough to trap myself into them or afraid enough to grow past them & leave them behind ;) talking fear & ego is useless in most cases... but I'm sure you understand =) Namaste~

  • @teewilson333

You've put it all quite nicely and you have my thumb up.

  • @TheRide4pac If only parents understood how to operantly condition there children to actually care about problems such as, not exceeding the carrying capacity of the earth. Overpopulation would be a joke. Not to mention we still have never gone seaward, skyward or subterranean. We are still very inefficient in supplying our fellow man with the necessity's of life. Im sure the carrying capacity of the earth eventually could be sustained at unimaginable levels with innovation creating abundance.

  • @F33DTH3F1R3F1LM5 gate are telling you now than the planet can stand with the population you should have watched the 3 videos

  • @F33DTH3F1R3F1LM5 and you totally see this coming as the number of people that watch the first video is 3and half millions and the second one just 870.000 so we see a steady decline of education... like 75% :D

  • Now Everyone can see why any Monetary Based World Economy will NEVER ever work!!

  • @belial678 I understand those things happen and my point is that there are other factors that play into it. If there were no humans to get involved the large rodents would have ran out of food eventually and the population would have leveled out. Doesn't Australia also have a rat problem that clear out 100's of farm every so many years. I would wager that if the farms weren't there that the rats wouldn't have the population to eat all the crops. Sort of a paradox I suppose.

  • 6:50 What's immigration got to do with world population?

  • @ChrisCummins I think it's to do with apparantly mixing races, creates a stronger race due to the stronger gene surviving(survival of the fittest). therefore being more resillient, intellegent, fitter etc and leading to people living longer.

  • the population IS a growing problem, but encouraging the things that make people suffer is hard to grasp! How could any one bear to want others to die and suffer like that?? Pressing such a matter makes me hurt and confused.

  • LOL everything is growing as he says .... except our wages ! LOL

  • After watching all 8 in the series I see that he covers most of this. If the people are the problem because they eat up all the finite resources, are people still a problem if you can set up an infrastructure that uses only renewable resources? If we stop being dicks fir like 5 minutes we may be able to put in a reasonable infrastructure to sustain 3-4 billion people, maybe more.

  • @akneal carefull what you wish for, what I surmised from the first video of this series is, he is a part of the illuminati ( most of the scholars are ) population reduction plan, ( see the georgia guide stones) . they want to keep the population at 500,000,000. the problem is , who decides who is to live and who is to die? I know what they think !

  • @1allstarman Yeah, I'm not really wishing population control. I just see bad times coming weather or not the greedy man behind the curtian forces it or not.

  • @1allstarman You're on our list now.

  • @Whammmo what list is that ?

  • Starting with two people on the Earth, how long would it take for a population to grow to the amount of 6 billion?

  • @1degree72years It could never happen... all that inbreeding from brothers and sisters sleeping with each other (and their parents) would result in some crazy shit and probably sterility. Could you imagine 6 billion Kentuckians? Oh the horror!

  • @TheRandallWesley Lol :))

I love your answer but it raises a whole lot of different questions :)

Zero population growth is certainly a pause for thought..

  • The only problem with this is the overpopulation isn't a problem yet. We can give every man woman and child a quarter acre of land and only fill 7/10's of Australia. Plus by the time it becomes a problem mother nature will run its course like any other natural habitat. We would simply not be able to feed ourselves thus the population would die of starvation. Which we are currently seeing an places around the world. So he kind of lost me on this section of the video.

  • @akneal I'm sorry, i feel that you just didn't understand a thing that he's talking about. Was the

"5 minutes before 12" not an obvious enough example? Do you really want to wait until you really have a problem? The point is to do something so that the world population stops growing, so that people WON'T die of starvation. That should also imply, at some point, negative growth. And we're not just occupying "a natural habitat", we're everywhere.

  • I did see that reference in the next video. It makes sense mathematically, but by this logic smaller animals like rabbits who survive on foliage that is overly abundant. So within a century or so rabbits would cover the entire dry surface of the earth. That simply hasn't happened due to other aspects of the equation. There's more to it than the exponentially growth. If you look at human population we didn't start this trend until the refining of Oil.

  • @akneal aaaaah... yes, it did happen. I'll explain in a minute. You see, we are the dominating species on the planet, we have no natural enemy. The rabbits are not. I'm actually very glad that you chose rabbits as an example. In Australia, for example, there were no rabbits. And when the Europeans brought them, they DID multiply like crazy, and they DID consume everything, because in Australia, they had no natural enemy. We humans had to sort it out. We brought foxes.

  • We sat somewhere around 1 billion give or take from year 0 up to the 1800's. Then we saw the explosion of population growth. I assuming that you are aware of what bell curves are. But we are nearing the peak of the bell curve. When oil runs out our population will even out. Do you honestly think we can feed 8 million in New york alone where the ship 58 million tons of food from the mid west each year? People will have to spread out to places where food is more readily available.

  • We will go back a a "reasonable" population. However, I'm not crowded where I am at. And I have a family garden that helps offset my families food budget each year. I hunt and fish. I know how to take care of my family when we start our decent back towards 1 billion people. I have even been playing around with the idea of brewing ethanol for my generators. It's a simple process really. I suppose there won't be anymore Youtube, But that will make for interesting stories to tell my grandchildren.

  • I also realize that what I'm saying is harsh. We're talking billions of people unable to feed their families because they have lost those skills. It's not something that I like to think about, but I do know it will happen. That's life though. It's not easy, it's tough, and it certainly isn't fair. As crappy as that sounds, it's true and I think we all know it.

  • Was anyone else surprised to see the Prof refer to the year 1999 as in the past! I thought this video was from like 93-97 or something!

  • Not my personal opinion my friend. Take a look at the reality of over fishing on the east coast of Canada. Total collapse of the cod stocks. You aren't reading what I am writing. I know why fish are being over fished. My point is that the market is not factoring this into the price. Which illustrates my poi
