@lucsajsr Thats not what euthanasia is about. Nobody is forced to kill oneself or is killed...it is a choice when there are no useable medical procedures left to use. This is people talking about things they do not understand. Nobody says anything when someone declines medical help, yet there is an outrage when they are helped while suffering? Look up Chantal Sebire and tell me you would deny her...these arent healthy people, theyre terminal with no other choice.

@JimmyFormerMarine Even that argument is flawed in this situation. There are 2 huge problems with it. 1. Not everyone believes what you do, and death is not considered bad in other religions or rationales. 2. The first amendment of the constitution, clarified by Jefferson, says there must be a seperation between church and state. This was legal in america before obama, but im sure you knew that? Its almost disturbing that we end an animals suffering but will not do it for another human.

If your religion says early death is abhorrent, dont use it. As i said before though, laws that govern the united states cannot be based on religion. To say assisted suicide is anything like nazi germany is sickening. Just becuase assisted death is suggested doesnt mean a patient has to even consider it. People view this as a doctor forcefully killing a patient, and that is just not true. Assisted death is very misunderstood.
