I know that a lot of them are against it because that's the way they interpret the Bible - but the way I see it, the whole point of Christianity is that you're accepted for who you are. God loves EVERYONE and gays are absolutely not an exception. It's all down to interpretation. Personally I don't believe that God would exclude one particular group of people when the Bible says Jesus touched diseased people nobody would go near, talked to the most disrepected people, etc
