The only time Resin is brittle is if you hamhand it and can't treat anything properly. Besides, the thing is worth so much because so many damn parts make it up.
Too bad about the toy's lack of durability, but damn - the engineering that went into this is astonishing. I never expected anyone could actually design the separate ships to form the 3 getta robots.
i was so in awe of these but then i actually saw one and they are briitle, poorly painted, cheaply wrapped and nothing stays in place with parts falling off and joints popping = avoid at all costs. They might look awesome and the engineering is genius but the actual item is barely servicable and will not last beyond maybe 2-3 transformations also they fade even in the box as the paint is air corressive!!!??? so your white becomes yellow!!! and the resins will also degrade in time...mental :<
this song if from an old cartoon i had a vhs many years ago and have been unable to find i gathered its getter robot and from watching the jap opening and ending i found it but the one i watched was gettar robot G but i cant find an english dub of it
Well this is the robot will be in gold someday. especially the black getter that was made 50pcs as I've heard. its like a Ferrari or Bugatti.
Anyway about this item its made of resin. all resin is brittle in time. almost all the that I've knew who had this and the one who broke the handle of the axe accidental drop the fig or fall in the display stand. For me, if this item is fragile. you should made safety precaution transforming it and take your time. Negative: white became yellowish in time
I'm really inteested on getting this. this is the only thing that is missing to my collection. someone offered me 950usd for a black getter robot with the redcape version and axe(the cool and rare one). can't seem to decide if this is worth dying for.
@GamiCross Damn dude... I'd want them to be made of at least the plastic that MS models are done with. Best case scenario would be Lego grade plastic. ._.

You are a hero. This is one of the few toys that I know I'll never be able to afford, yet is worth its price, despite its flaws.

@speedstriker no its not, i thought so too but after some hands on they are horrible..i almost cried!

@brianafurneaux That's terrible! I feel so naive now, but thanks for heads up.

Please tell me that "Perfect Change Getter" is just a bad translation from Japanese...
Please?

I would kill a man for this toy, promptly break it and then commit suicide.

Amazing! I know that if I got that, I would forget how to transform it.

I'd say I want my 2:07 back, but at least I don't spend $700 on giant robot toys, cool as they may be.

@LeoMidori
worst thing is that I heard they're made out of brittle resin- so they break really easily...

@LeoMidori
for 700 bucks they shoulda been made out of some form of precious metal that was as valuable but sturdier than gold!!

@LeoMidori Don't hate LEGO. Many builders are able to do model-kit-tier shit. One of them is myself. :)

@PhongChangster ...I don't. I love Lego. I meant that the plastic used in Lego bricks would be superior to this junky thing. D:
