  • Your family own a body shop or something? It would of taken me atleast 3 weeks months to prep and properly repaint something like that.

  • @giberish9 Yes we are completely set up for this kind of work

  • You sure did a beautiful job on that Resurrection!

Only two obvious mistakes you made....First one I am sure you have discovered by now if you USED your snow blower in any deep snow. The reel halves are NOT supposed to be aligned as you have them, but rather 1/2 turn off, so that it feeds the snow in on a more steady flow rather than in blasts as it does with the reel halves together as you have them.

The 2nd you are selling your self short! You have an "L-8" NOT an "L"

  • @GreatGardner001 thankyou for telling me about the reel halves, i will fix that for this winter and as for the model l part it is a Model l according to the serial number on the transmission and according to the model number on the gas tank. Also it comes up as 1959 and they did not make the L-8 yet. Never the less thanks for taking the time to watch the video!

  • @gravelyfreak818 SECOND is that many owners of Gravely L's will buy an old swiftamatic unit from a parted out unit, and install it on their "L", and not bother to stamp the "8" behind the "L". You have 2 speeds on that lever on the handlebar. ho/lo ground speed and PTO speed. The lever down by the gas tank gives you 2 axle speeds in each of your hi/lo selection, giving you 4 forward & 4 reverse, and Gravely added.. 4+4 and came up with 8 speeds

It is is called the "custom convertible, the only model-l with the hi-lo shifter

  • Well you are a Freak ! I guess that makes most all of us commenter's Freaks. You are in good company indeed.

You have to love the old equipment, simple, stout,

    Great job !

  • Awesome ! My neighbor has one of these with all the attachments. It's a killer machine especially when he uses it to blow snow. Kicks the crap out of my Ariens 826. Nice restoration.

  • Nice restoration job. I'd love to see it in action.

  • hey its nice to see another 14 year old working on gravelys i own a '64 L8 that my great grandfather originally bought

  • Great job, it looks amazing!

  • That looks to be a L-8 because of the high-low range shifter on the right. Great job on the restoration!

  • Very nice!

  • Good job on the restoration! I assume a hood wasn't available for this model L. I have a model LI Gravely, but I'm not sure of it's model year. These tractors are truly die hard with great durability.

  • @TheWaterbug101 ,,,,,,yes the hood is available and i have it. the reason why it is no on it is because i think it looks funny with it on it

  • nice job, looks great

  • Nice to see someone younger than 60 working on Gravelys.
