  • How about putting the noodles in a medium to large bowl then ladle the stew on top them?

  • @spadedz

    Sounds good to me!

  • WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO KNOW HOW LONG YOU LEFT IT IN THE OVEN FOR

  • @mack11223

    3 hours, thanks!

  • looks really good!

  • why the orange?

  • @anabela2787

The orange is sort of a french twist, you certainly do not have to put that into the stew, thanks!

  • @anabela2787

Because to eliminate the fishy flavor of meat

  • There must be 1000 ways to make stew,...and this way looks good!

  • @mississauga0909

    Thanks!

  • can we just cook it on the stove instead of bake it ?

  • @MsSyth

Yes you can cook it on the stove instead of baking it.

I would use the red wine tho.

    Thanks!

  • hello :)

    thankyou for the nice video

could i replace the red wine with something else?

  • the flesh lost a lot of size ...

  • R U texan?

  • Chef, what size is that pot you are cooking in? Looks like 6 to 8 quart, maybe larger?

  • @henrydog6

Thank you but I am just a home cook.

I have forgotten what size the pot is, I apologize.

It is fairly large and I use it mostly as a dutch oven type pot.

I would say that your estimation of 6 to 8 quarts is accurate.

    Thank you for your question!

  • Very well done...gonna give that a try ...thanks!

  • @ddavel5441

    Thank you David!

  • it was ba-con !!

  • I would add about 20 more things to this. but still good

  • Very good!!!

  • @greynand

  • o-o those are fucking huge pieces of beef LOL.

it looked really rough at the start but the finished product is pretty :D

  • @Aupas

    Thank you Shaye!

  • Food are so expensive here in Sweden! Fucking taxes on everything! in USA?For that piece of meat you have to pay at least $ 15 here in Sweden!

  • @lana799

No tax on food here in the USA except in some places there is tax on candy, regular food no tax.

    Thanks!

  • WOW love it! I have to come to america end eat good food!

Love your cooking, you are a amazing cook,it's look so easy when you are doing it!

    Rebecka from Sweden ! :)

  • Yeah, and it has the yellow label on it which means you SAVE too. Usually it'll run about $9 to $10, but you get the best deal when the store sends the new meat out. The store wants to get rid of the older meat by making it cheaper.

  • Did this huge piece of meat seriously cost you $6.73?? We pay what amounts to about $20 for that in Denmark.

  • @Paggee

Yes it was $6.72 US Dollars, food tends to be not too expensive here.

It was marked down in price because it only had 2 more days of shelf life.

  • @Paggee You guys probably have better quality meats...in the US cows are corn fed and injected with all kinds of bad shit

  • How long did you leave the stew in the oven? Thanks.

  • @clock99times

In the oven for 3 hours.

Thank you for your question Diane!

  • Can you make a chicken strips?

  • @domi12101

    Well hello domi12101 :)

    First, thank you for subscribing.

I really appreciate your comment and your nacho request.

A few weeks ago, I tested a nacho pizza, and I failed as it was okay but just not up to my standards so it never got uploaded/posted.

I will try another test sometime, just don't know when.

I am in the mood for Chinese food at the moment.

    Thanks again!

  • anyone know the song in the beginning intro? please tell me !!

  • im gonna fart in this guys face

  • nice work man! gotta try this later

  • love the touch of bacon. i tried it for christmas and that huge pot went like nothing. def luv this recipe.

  • @TheAlternate2Me

    Wow, thank you very much!

  • This looks good. Going to have to try it.

  • Why do I like to watch videos of food that im eating at the moment?

  • Turned out OK ..JUST LEAVE OUT THE ORANGE ZEST...it is too overpowering and that's all you're going to taste.

  • Crown royal adds a lot of flavor. I put in in almost everything. It's also good in steak ribs lamb chops ducks and salmon.

  • Ahh, i ruined my stew cuz i accidently used honey smokey bacon, and now my stew smells and tastes like honey...

  • @Arkenarge

Oh, how terrible, I feel for you!

One time I bought maple bacon, and never again, just did not like it.

  • I'd eat that. Nice work!

  • Wonderful, thanks mate. 10/10. Get some fresh mushrooms in the stew next time though :) delicious.

  • thats such a hearty looking meal. great for our cold winter in australia! i've been a fan for ages and i've come across all these older vids!!!! i'm in heaven, apart from your great receipes i find your voice soothing.

  • Left over beef stew is perfect for shepards pie, or beef pot pie. What I do with my left over stew. I make mine quite different though. I like dishes that are 2 different meals in 1.

  • @beachside104

This can be made so many different ways.

If I would have had some anchovies, I would have put a couple of those in this also.

    Thanks!

  • tale of the missing bay leaf. lol. i recomend using a sachet. thats when you put spices and herbs in a sheet of cheesecloth wrap it up and tie it w/ twine. so that way yo can tie it to the handle of the pot, which makes it easier to find.

  • @noangel1987

LOL, thanks for the idea using a sachet!

Allthough there are a few people that I know and it would not bother me for them to swallow a bay leaf or two.. LOL

  • @freitasex

i dont do wines, any substitute for it?

  • @truce4u

I would use chicken stock to replace the wine.

    Thanks for your question!

  • @truce4u WATER

  • @truce4u WATER but it wont tasteas good...

  • My mouth is watering!

  • Thank you Rene!

  • i think you forgot to mention how long you put it in the oven :)

  • Yes I did not say how long... so it is in the video a caption of words that tell you how long.

  • mmmm, do u have a recipe for pussy relish ?

  • True talent

  • You are very very nice, thanks!

  • i agree to cut the beef into big junks as they normally shrink when cooked. Nice winter dish. Thanks Freitasex.

  • Thank you so much!

  • No msg or flour.

  • I did use flour... sorry :(

  • sounds like something to make on the weekend !

  • I made this a long time ago on a weekend.. and just now posting.. thanks Stoner!

  • Crazy good stuff, Iron chef Freitasex!

    Gerald

  • I am weird and don't like potatoes in this... but most people do ... Thanks!

  • I made this for dinner tonight, it was delicious despite the tainted meat I used. excellent recipe!!!

  • Sorry PoopChef :(

  • Oh wow, yummy - so rich. I've never heard of putting orange rind but it sounds lovely. I'll have to give it a try.

  • You can taste it for sure and gives it a fresh taste!

  • I hate you

  • God... you sound like someone from work.

  • It looked like you could serve 5 with that lot, what did you do with the rest?

    Thanks!

  • Looks wonderful! Thanks so much!

  • Thank you June Bug :)

  • That looked really good !!!

  • Wow, thank you!

  • Looks a lot better than last week's cabbage!

    Good job.

  • I AGREE with you completely.... but the cabbage was a long overdue request.. and I just don't do it very well.

I cannot please everybody all the time lol :)

  • that beef came from walmart :( you cant trust them..:(

  • I wonder about that.... gosh you are perceptive!

  • @freitasex the only reason i say that is that I have a friend that has his own butcher shop and he tells me that walmarts meat always comes in pre cut and that it definately has more additives since it stays red and fresh look much longer than fresh cut beef...of course going to a private butcher is a bit more expensive

  • amazin recipie

  • Thank you #1

  • great home cooking

  • Thanks!

  • Looking for a flight- How about dinner and a move. That looks fabulous!

  • Thanks Avoir :)

  • I would have added some anchovies... but did not have any.

I really hate to go out... how about a DVD on blueray?

  • @freitasex that will work just fine I hate going out as well. I love classic movies haha.

  • loooks good
