This song is quite simply amazing. I've only heard a few songs but I've already decided to pick up a CD very soon. As for the people over the Christian music debate, I think AILD's "The Sound of Truth" would better be classified as a philosopical music rather than Christain music. The only reference to religion in the lyrics is when they say "For what use is there, is there in praying...". Everything else could be counted as philosophy. Many people who aren't religious seek to hear truth.

This song is quite simply amazing. I've only heard a few songs but I've already decided to pick up a CD very soon. As for the people over the Christian music debate, I think AILD's "The Sound of Truth" would better be classified as a philosopical music rather than Christain music. The only reference to religion in the lyrics is when they say "For what use is there, is there in praying...". Everything else could be counted as philosophy. Many people who aren't religious seek to hear truth.

Not that there's no point in praying to search for truth (cause that is one of ways prayer is used), but that there is no point in praying for truth if they are not willing to see something they might not want to see. It's critsizing the people who pray, but ignore signs that the truth they are searching for isn't the one God wants for them, not religion itself. I guess that's a little preachy, sorry, but thats what i got from it :-D

their lyrics are kind of christian and they are all christian ppl so they kind of are a christian band but it really depends on wat u consider a christian band. i mean obviously they're not gospel but that doesnt mean they're not christian. maybe they're just a normal metal band with some christian songs and dont talk about bad stuff in thier songs. it doesnt really matter

As I Lay Dying is definitively Christian Metalcore. Regardless though, they are very good imho. Im an atheist and still love aild because 1. they sound good, and 2. all sorts of people have different beliefs, it doesnt mean that the message in their music cant be applied to your own life
