Cause it is easy to hit it. Common sense just doesn't work in golf. Which is why its hard. Remove common sense and its easy. I hit it about 240 yards straight most of the time. And I'm handicapped. If a handicapped person can do it then so can you.

@brackipas It wasn't easy learning to swing like that. I bet in one year Ernie will get in as much practice as you will in your entire life. If you want to hit it better, learn how to swing first. swing everyday at least 100 time without hitting balls,and range balls maybe once or twice a month. See pros dont try to hit the ball. The ball gets in the way of the club. If you have a good swing thats on plane then the ball should be in the way at impact.Thats why they say swing THRU not AT the ball

Monty for example often crumbled upon major pressure. But Ernie has been around for more than two decades now, this makes him a champion already in my definition.

when you hit the ball harder the spin rate goes up keeping it in the air loner so you need a lower loft and for better contact maybe your taking it back way to long or you need to cut down the shaft length

i think the reason why his swing in comparison to tigers look slower is that on the downswing his head is so steady, and on his downswing its not a huge difference in speed compared to his backswing... yet they have the same clubhead speed. X shafts and all that!

Mine was more like a tiger than ernie. The important thing is i got a clubhead speed at almost 120mph so i need a X shaft but i can't find it! Maybe it's a custom made? If yes my choice was Titleist 909 D3 8.5 I'm 16 years old 5'9, 205pounds So i can hit one like a pro. But my worst problem is that i can't hit a driver at driving range! Only place is the real course.
