  • dont feel bad about your hair blunty, i think its awesome

  • A very nice video that can help us learn some very good thinks. lest's take it and put it in our thick heads all of us inculding me.

  • i want to be altair xD

  • i like ice cream

  • every human will attract someone, whatever u look like

  • well i definitely believe that video games, movies, magazines and the like are certainly not the CAUSE of people's body insecurities, but the constant in your face expectation of how one should look like are being shoved at is everywhere we go! So even if we realize that these images ARE fantasy, it's still a nagging thought in the back of our heads, Hey, You don't look like all those nipped and tucked celebrities out there....something's wrong with you.

  • Agreed 100% to this video.

  • Don't eat cheese!!!

  • As they say in every therapy group that has ever existed....you must first learn to love yourself before you can learn to love others.

  • The Ancient Egyptians had cosmetics. If DaVinci's David had been made too well endowed, they probably would have destroyed it the first chance they got. And everyone has their own template for what arouses them. Playboy is nothing but one man's (Hugh's) opinion of what he thinks is beautiful

  • it's michaelangelo's david

  • Da Vinci? Are you sure it's not Michelangelo who sculpted David?

  • it was michelangelo

  • I am slightly more obese than all of my friends and i get teased for it all the time. You cannot even tell that i am when i have my cloths on. I work out 3 days a week but i have a very low metabolism. It is hard most days to even bring myself out of bed to go to school and having to put up with this torment. People shouldn't make fun of the way other people look because whatever is wrong with them, they may not have control over it. Please consider this before making anymore ugly or fat jokes.

  • me and my friend are ugly but we don't care

  • well blunty i dont know if you didnt say it on this video.but yeah the way we look is just an image and its in the mind.

  • Why do you think you've got bug eyes? I LOVE your eyes, babe...!

  • body issues started with the reflective surface. i personally believe nothing else should be blamed. (also a video game with a hairy fat guy wouldn't be that fun, except Mario. lol)

  • "hundreds of hundreds" no hundreds to thousands to 100's of thousands. I know I've spent lots on supplements and I've been going gray since my mid 20's.

Everyone spends too much, You are right too much money is spent on how we look.

  • well while i DO agree we SHOULD accept who we are inside and outside ad IMPROVEING ones self isnt such a bad thing..i shower so my gf wont turn me away Lol,as a guy i thnk its ok o go days without one LOL,but all in all, great feedback below and great vid,but also attracting the other mate, makes sence..all through the animal kingdom, the strongest fittest spread their genes, its the way it is,u can mask it,but meh..be yourself,some1 will love u regardless

  • well spoken guys, and if think this is a rant? then maybe your not takeing it as an opinion, even if u dont agree with it,u can side with it as a mature individual,or we can all hope D=

  • Just as you said "my eyes are too buggy", I was thinking 'hasn't he got lovely eyes'. Big eyes are cool!

I agree with everything else you said though :)

  • this guy is very wise, i like him!

    you smart!

  • hey whats up, all i really want to say is that i think your really funny and I truly agree with all the videos you make.

  • BLUNTY Its duct tape on the belly my friend just rip that crapp off and itll stop coming in

  • Kevin Smith called, he wants his D.N.A. back.

  • In the end we're all just semi-advanced hairy apes.

    And i don't concur.

Bet Gandi and lots of other hermits out there are more than perfectly happy w/their 'looks'

...oh an' just BTW it's the BOYS that are the 'pretty' ones in nature

  • BLUNTY is cool

  • the only body issue it gave me was the ahir, i wanted the weird spiky hair, and when you got it into the form of spike you wanted it in..it looked lame and you feel ripped off.

  • and don't dis your grey. just a bit (like yours) is so sexy. it's dignified. people go crazy for it.

  • i know you're talking about something intelligent, but.... you're hot. XD

  • BLUNTY!!! YOU ARE MY HERO!!!

  • games is a retarded example...its movies that make people want to look a certain way...and obviously movies are fantastic (to some degree) but thats no reason to say that its wrong for people to want to looks like tyler durden. its better to be insecure and change the way you llook than to be fat ugly lazy and unmotivated living in acceptance of ur terrible body

  • no its not

  • Yes it is. If you really are more insecure than you should be, then you will change it if it means enough to you. If you hate the way you are and won't change then that's just laziness.

  • I dont see why you should have to. You dont have to look the way others tell you too.

  • body issues may have existed for a long time, but they are definitely reflective of the social context. renaissance period attractiveness equaled portly, it was considered to be a sign of wealth and was therefore attractive. now it is six-pack abs and giant biceps. to say the media doesn't feed into that shit is an extremely half-assed line of thought. you've got sensationalism mixing with puritanical undertones; that's where it is unhealthy and contradictory. chalk it up to social commentary.

  • dude about the pokemon get a life ur really old and still playing pokemon iam stoping after platnium so you should really get a job instead of playing the same shit as u yourself recall but at least we know that ur not gay which is a good thing concluding that ur to old to be playing pokemon

  • Pokemon is an extremely fun game, especially if you play competitively. Even if you don't, it's fun. Stop letting preconceived notions that Pokemon is for kiddies cloud your judgement. Here's a pro tip: the show SUCKS.

  • LOL "Get a life and stop playing pokemon,i'm stopping after platinum"

  • i said that 8 years ago somehow i ended playing again XD

  • actually MANY people are happy with the way they look. but want to improve their look, just as they want to improve their knowledge or anything else about themselves. wanting to improve has nothing to do with not liking yourself. dont project issues that are clearly yours onto others lol seeming fit mentally/physically is also about being more appealing as a useful part of society. we are a part of a collective, like it/agree with it or not.

  • I think you need a shave. (While we're on the subject).

  • or with the lipos...or how are they called...those surgery intervetion...i don;t know what to say...but i know a sure thing...doctors recieve a lot A LOT of money for this :) and i dont know if should i agree or not ...it`s the opinion of who want to do this...soo sorry for my bad english...and i hope you understand what i wanted to tell you! and i really like your videos ;)

  • and if you go to the gym, or you just can do some exercises at home ..this thing it keeps you in a good shape and of course healthier ..so why bullshit? people give money on what they want to ...and for cosmetiques...( because I am a girl too) i think that a woman who wants to look and FEEL good use make-up products...a simple moistureses or a simple mascara and lip-stick... these things give you self-esteem....and of course making you look preety...so i`m asking why are those bullshit? anyway

  • Bravo!

  • LOL dickbags. xD

    Great video though, awesome points.

  • Gyms are bullshit?

    Haha that's funny.

    You are funny.

  • The grey, and overall look of your hair/facial hair reminds me of Robert Downy Jr out of iron man.

  • Tell you what though, your gray streak of hair looks great. Kind of like Reed Richards.

  • You make what people think are the most awkward issues really funny and silly! lol keep that work.

  • all this is true but media escalates body issues and makes us believe we have to look like evreyone else which is a load of BULLSHIT

  • I have to agree you. It always seems like politicians or the media are blaming video games about everything. I also know quite a few people that have major body issues.

  • You make a good point Blunty ^_^

  • I think the media is at least partially responsible. Way back when it was sexy for a girl to be big. It meant she could bear children and survive a famine. No wonder she was what the guys went after unless they wanted a new wife every time winter came around or he got one pregnant. Though I do think we just do what animals do on a bigger level. And I hate the philosophy some people try to spout that if you're happy with yourself people will somehow flock to you by the hundreds. BS.

  • I dont have a problem with the way i look or my weight or anything.

  • people were eating tape worms in Victorian times to be thin... this is nothing new

  • Hmm.. Blunty? I think you're wrong =[. Well sort of. What causes the body issues in the first place is our obsession with comparing ourselves with other people. Therefore if we get given a lot of images of very attractive people/fantasy characters we're going to feel a lot worse, because we'll look at ourselves and realise that we look shite compared. So the media is at least partly to blame. The solution is to just stop comparing and accept our bodies.. like that'll happen.

  • I have never been to the gym because luckily I've never had to...God given gynetics has kept me looking and feeling so fine that getting women and finishing first in sports has just been quite frankly...taken for granted.I would never date a fat girl and think vanity isn't so bad...women should feel the pressure from the media to look thin otherwise I know most would be content getting fat.

  • It's pretty brave of you to say all that you just said.. the only part I disagree with is your assumption that pressure from the media is what causes women to stay thin. Say I look at a magazine and go oh, I'm so fat, I should look like that girl instead- all that will probably happen is I'll go on a crash diet and end up gaining it all back and more. So I don't think the media is what's keeping women thin. We were actually much thinner when the media wasn't such a big part of our daily lives.

  • See? I agree... quit caring. Unless you're a stuck up b*tch, chances are not many people care. I used to be kinda' chubby - instead of eating a frickin' candy bar, I started eating crap like a peanut butter and banana sandwich, which not only tastes better IMO, it's also better for you. You don't have to go to a gym day after day, just do something to keep yourself in good fit. I go running quite often, but this is so I can build strength for football season, (high school varsity team.)

  • I agree with you, Blunty to a small point. Wemon, and men feel insecure about their body regardless of media, yes. The problem with the media is amplifying insecurities. It's a subliminal thing in my opinion that effects the basic "I want to look beautiful". Indeed you are right to say people need to accept what they have. Everyone is beautiful, and everyone has physical flaws, so what? One could even say even physical flaws are beautiful. They are.

  • Point-of-View Camera Angle - $0.

    Black & White film effect - $0.

Talking endlessly about a subject that no one is going to give a crap about once they leave this page - priceless.

There are some things money can't buy. For everything else, there's BluntCard. (Available wherever prepaid gift cards are sold.)

  • blah blah blah, HEADBANGER !!!!!!

  • yeaa its complete bull how people thinkkk video games cause all this shittt...

  • I go to a gym because I want to keep fit.

  • so you have more confidence

  • Voila.

  • Annoyingly enough there are alot of pollitions who exploit the gamer population (which are by a large portion children) to gain spotlight in the media ,saying that video games are played by a alot of murderers which is just stupid, if there was a poll that said that 45% of murderers bought a pack of gum before they killed someone would you blame the companies who make gum as an accessory to murder obviously if you kill someone there's something more as motivation than a game of Grand Theft Auto

  • People blame things, because they want to see the truth.

BTW What do you do for a livin Blunty? I mean, your vids are great, but hey, you dont get money for them.

  • HE does actually, youtube partners get money for there vids, not alot but people who get enough views like sxephil can make a large proportion of their income from this stuff.

  • Part time stripper

  • You are gorgeous!

  • Are you in Black and white because you have Grey hairs because your old?

  • He said he's been graying since he was 19. He's pretty much aware of it. -.-

  • We have a very short life time, we shall use it in the best ways like helping others and not to think of what you look like or other people think.

  • when the first human saw his/her reflection. that's what the problem started

  • that's bascily what happen

  • body issues were invented in 1956 in a rednecks basements in South Alabama. he did it to justify his habit of wearing no shirt

  • I see another account is down thanks to the JIDF. [Sigh...] Just because they dared to speak out against the atrocities in Gaza! That sort of thing seriously pisses me off.

Why not do an anti-censorship video, Blunty?

  • Yeah I think that would be a great idea. I would support that suggestion to Blunty.

  • Yes, but the more I think about it, the more I realize that none of the establishment people on YouTube are willing to be rebels or mavericks and stand up against Zionist oppression :(

  • i dont know why some people can't be happy with the way they look. My girlfriend keeps trying to tell me shes ugly but she looks great (and has huge tits to boot) I know i dont look amazing there is alot i would change about myself but im happy the way i am. I have a wonderful girlfriend a lot of normal friends and we all get along. As long as your a good person the people that really matter will hang around with you and like you.

  • the gray bit look cool if i go gray i want to start of just like that.

  • I LOVE how you always manage to cure my insomnia.

  • Blunty isnt boring :l

  • We tend to look for scapegoats wherever we can get them, yet our desire to displace our own responsibility is just as ingrained into us - although not nearly as useful, or exploitable.

Thank you for the good insight.

  • robert downey junior is bluntey

  • very good

  • Video Games are fantasy.

BOOB JOBS ARE VERY REAL! - Ladies, more boob jobs please.

  • STOP BEING DICKBAGS

  • you look like shit dude

  • the media incourages body issues, example:axe pufume ads on t.v make you think smell good enough for to sexualy appeal to women.

  • hey blunty wats your body issue?

  • I can't believe YouTube is really doing this fucking censureship shit!! Different people have different views of what "bad language" is. Why would you impose something like that on users?? Ugh. Great video but I was so irked by the muted section! Grrr...

  • u look alot like kevin smith from clerks

  • You continue to deliver the truth. I love you for it, and I consider you a VERY big positive influence on Youtube, and this site NEEDS that.

  • simply awesome

  • This was a very good video about truth and reality....

  • yay, i miss your rants blunty...great video!

  • whoever becomes (more) insicure by seeing a virtual character witha good body may need to be put in a padded cell in my opinion.

  • i agree with a lot of the stuff u say in the middle, but i dont agree with ur main point that media or games has nothing to do with peoples' body issues / identities. But even if i dont agree with u, its a nice video

  • all these commies are putting stuff into our minds man! no jk, commies r cool. Sometimes. Oh so true though, next time i see some research on tv in turning it off. I already have body fat issues, i dont need someone putting pressure on me for what i look like, and then tell me what i should do??? who do they think they are!?

  • I say its whats on the inside that counts. the girl i like, and she likes me, is beutiful. on the outside as well as the inside. But im not one to give advice. i'm rather young, and really havnt experienced much

  • Interesting work on the ads google

first ad: "Lose man boobs fast"

    Thanks..

  • YES IM JEALOUS OF LEGOS!@!! THERE CURVEY ASSES ARE JUST SO AWSOME!

I WANNA BE A LEGO!! WACTHA!

funny i know a girl who is hot but shes ugly on the inside to she thinks shes ugly but i used to tell her she was beautiful but she was just to argent

  • how bout tom cruise or hulk hogan >> i dun think they have body issue lol

  • I'd say on the inside they do, everyone does, even if it is just one thing as small as the way your middle toe is angled. It is a body issue and everyone, everyone, suffers from insecurity in relation to oneselve's body and physical appearance.

  • ROFL

  • Interesting video, is there something that made you decide to vlog about this particular topic, like an article or something? Anyway, good video, I've made this very arguement to many a person too many times. Fucking Dickbags.

  • I am happy with it, i would like a beard tho, dam that breaks the rule

  • Dude, you're right. Media didn't cause th' body issues--they aren't helping the issues a great deal--but they sure as shit didn't cause 'em. Also... dude, are you censoring your videos, now? What the fuck! Seriously! I enjoy your rants more with swears in 'em! ..Meh. I'm still gonna subscribe. I don't care.

Good look, good health, and good fortune t' ya, Bluntman. ~~

  • You give mental retardation a new meaning.

  • anybody who lets pop culture and media affect their lives are sociopathic, and would find a 'negative influence' to blame even if these things never exsisted. scapegoats of a conservative world. people let the television raise their families and then freak out because it doesn't give the proper guidence. that's a prent' job. anyway, good vid, better point.

  • i totally agree with you dude but the media and all that other crap dose has some affect on people

  • you're right!nice job

  • I love you. You rock.

  • Unreasonable expectations are met with unreasonable results.

  • love watching your vids keep it up blunty dont stop speaking ur mind :)

  • You got this one backwards..

  • Why did you mute out the word, fuck?

  • because it's "fuck" that's why

  • Because he's realised its innappropriate and irrelevant to the statement.

  • dickbag and bullshit is cool right, but oh shit, dont fuck give me a fuck or my heart will burst and my world will shatter. It doesn't matter. I was just wondering why now Blunty is now censoring his videos. He never did before.

  • I'm sorry, but gray hair would look so sexy on you! :)

  • i completely agree, perfect answer

  • I agree. I'm never gunna look like Commander Shepard of the Alliance Navy. And you know what? I don't care.

  • Ugh, I've been seeing shit come out in the recent weeks about how VIDYA GAEMS make poor insecure guys make bad about their bodies because we can't all look like fucking Kratos.

So first it's celebrities' faults, now it's video game characters. It's all so fucking stupid, people will be self conscious no matter what.

  • I disagree.

Nothing exists in a vacuum, my friend. You know that.

Of course, it is a human thing, wanting people to like you. But body issues solely being a human trait? No. I don't buy it.

I say the concern for vg's affecting young men's (and women's) self image is a fruitless one. But dismissing cultural influences like you do is just stupid. There are too many things that prove the opposite (that culture does indeed affect the way we look and feel about ourselves.) I will gladly talk more.

  • Marvin

  • I reckon it's good to care a little bit about how you look, style your hair, look after your skin, exercise etc. but taking it too far and getting obsessive and/or getting surgery is a bit too far.

  • IM GOING BALD

  • Well, your whole "built into us" thing makes sense, but I have a conflicting idea. When we were all younger, none of us gave a shit about how we looked really right? I'd wear glasses with hearts on them and walk around practically nude. Then, influence from other people and the more social I became, I felt the need to try to "impress" and "look good" for them.

So I did, and that is what basically happens. You become social, and want to remain at the top of your game...maybe.

  • I try to improve the way I look in small ways, like my hair or crap like that. But I don't want to look perfect, just not rediculous.

  • mee too

  • lol blunty for god!

  • holy crap my 'paste' function just went ape!!!

  • hey silent bob, you're not that silent.

    hope brissie 's workin out.

totally agree but got a mate whos adamant he's slept with chun li....-just wanna ask u 1 thing. is there any minute chance that maybe VG characters do exist? its just that i but got a mate whos adamant he's slept with chun libut got a mate whos adamant he's slept with chun li

  • Nah,he rocks.

  • dude so true i mean i dont like certain parts of my body Ive got clubbed feet and webbed hand for starters would i change probably not i like being a freak =D

  • I've personally never looked at a game character and thought "Gosh I wish I looked like her T.T" but I have with other things, like adverts (which have likely been manipulated).

It's all on a personal level. I think it's stupid to want to have the same proportions of a character, but others think different.

...I think I just repeated myself a lot there, sorry @.@

  • But, video-games alone shouldn't be blamed for this. Sure, some people will use characters in games as an example for themselves, prefer to use that image, but in reality pretty much anything in media can have the same effect. So much airbrushing is done in magazines to make models look inhumanly skinny and with a perfect complexion etc. To me this is more of a problem than video games. (continued)

  • I've seen some people commenting saying you're wrong, but personally I think it is different for different people.

Just as some people get addicted to things easier, some will obsess over their image more. The people who obsess more will see these portrayals of non-realistic bodies, and athough they aren't attainable they will want it because they compare it to themselves and think it's ugly. (Continued)

  • True. Complements on the Black & White video give you video a old school charm and I dont know if its youtube or you trying to make your video grainy but its cool make more videos like this Good job

  • If you don't like your body because it's to fat. Then go to the gym and get in shape. Do something about it besides cry. You dont even have to go to a gym. Do some sit-ups, push-ups, walk, or jog. Damn there's a bunch of whiners out there. Make yourself better physically and mentally.

  • who are YOU??? O_o??

  • Ur funny ;D

  • lol ''am i gonna spend the rest of my life shaving my gut?'' xD

  • Man do I envy your Hairy Belly.

  • I dont know if anyone has pointed this out but I have another way of looking at it. Even if video games are fantasy we still get affected by them, maybe not as much as the media likes to think, but some part of us take the images in and it forms the way we look at "the real world", excuse my choice of words. The problem is not the fact that we want to become more like the ideal of beauty, that issue has been around forever. The problem is HOW WE DEFINE beauty. WHAT KIND of beauty we crave.

  • What i am saying is Anerexia and body dismorphia are not spontainiously occuring problems that lay dorment in us all...thats stupid too. I do value your opinion and ushally agree with you alot but in this case your damn wrong, cause you don't know. But.... video games don't cause that shit. In reality video games always make a person feel included, not excluded like the triggers of eating disordars... i love you man..just not today

  • i think your judgement is clouded by your personal experiance

  • As a dude who had an eating disordear and nearly starved himself to death (went from 190 to 105 pounds in two years) i think you dont know what your talking about blunty... Im sorry i love you man but seeing magazines and t.v. shows and the skinny ass female modles we all find attractive was deffinatly a big part of my issue. Also all the popular people at high school who dressed like that helped push it along. Im not saying video games cause thats stupid.....really stupid...but...>cont

  • Why'd you censor 'fuck'?... i thought you were really against censors... might I bring up the "Nude." video?...

  • For the same reason the images in the "nude" video had to be censored.

  • Heh, that's videogames for you, everyone's favourite scapegoat. Just a big fad. The way I see it, people will either grow tired of blaming games for all their problems, or some new medium will come along, a couple people will do something stupid with it, and BAM! New "Greatest trick the devil ever pulled" Thinking about it, how could games POSSIBLY cause people to be all self conscious? Look at nintendo's protagonists: an overweight plummer, an autistic kid who follows annoying fairys around

  • An ape, hell, even a pink thing that gets through his game by eating everyone and thing he sees.

But anyway, I love watching your video's and everything, but unfortunatly, this isnt going to catch the attention of anyone who writes anti-videogame stuff. Takes fuel away from them. All they'll ever pay attention to is the retarded kid with the neglecting parents that has a temper tantrum, runs away into the snow, and freezes to death.

  • Excellent, excellent, excellent video.

  • too right you are good man

  • lol wow I couldn't stop laughing, oh Blunty you make me smile...keep up the good work

  • I think your contradicting yourself a little bit because you say going to a Gym (to try and get fit) is all BS. Then you go on to say that you try and keep fit by walking. I am just saying.

  • Perhaps he doesnt "go to the gym" because a lot of people go to the gym to get ripped and muscular and whatnot, whereas simply walking just keeps your heart and your breathing decent.

  • GO BLUNTY, right on the money.

  • lol, blaming games and aniem and watever. stupid journalists lol

  • I've never read an article linking body issues to video games, link? It really is common senses to ignore that crap, almost like the "video games made my kid beat someone up" articles. Always interesting to hear your rants Blunty.

  • Blunty is correct. Don't blame video games! The main problem is that people compare themselves to unrealistic images and aspire to look like that. There's nothing wrong with trying to better yourself with the way you look. Don't aim to be 'perfect', just aim to be the best you can be :)

  • and this is why i wear jeans, hoodie's and t-shirts. i guess i'm not veiwed as a sloppy person because i work so hard.

and he's right. i mean. i'm pretty, i know i am, i have a generally nice figure and am in shape, but i still get self concious sometimes it is just HUMAN NATURE.

  • wise words

  • so true man.

girl im not quite seeing but we have talked about, well she likes me for me, then asked if i was in a gym, which i am.

then she asked if im going to wax my belly, chest and back.

    like wtf?

she likes me for me but wants to change me.

  • that's some pretty good talking you got goin on there.

  • You are, in my opinion, a VERY handsome man. Good video btw.

Where I work, theres a commercial that they play on the store speakers thats like "and it's about more than losing weight and looking good" and then they say some empowering words that make it seem like theyre only talking to women, because empowering men for some reason sounds like a bad idea (almost bad as white pride). Then they end it by giving the notion that losing weight and looking your best is really what you're doing it for.

  • very true words in this.

  • 3:13, haha "bullshit", this guy is a legend, i agree about people feelin bad about the way they look, i do all the time but im still proud to be healthy and alive in the world

  • i agre with the most of what you say acept that you complain on journalists becuse they will always write shit.

  • Well you need to admit that the media gives off a message of how girls should look and girls believe they must look that way to get a guy and the other way around.

  • onece agen he knows what hes talking about
