  • shite .. compared to the original REM are better of singing depression songs !!!!!

  • I shouldn't be surprised that REM did justice to this song, But really the original is better just cuz it was original. First heard this song on the old vinyl comp "Burning Ambitions"

  • spizz version much better, this is ok though.

  • Terrific choice of cover and GREAT version too!

  • very nice

  • lol Michaels Glasses are Pychooooo ;-)

  • It is R.E.M. The Spizzenergi version is quite different. This one's better.

  • @caherbaut It's barely different at all! It's not like the difference between Wire's "Strange" and REM's "Strange"

  • @Cainmare

From Wikipedia: "Every Christmas since 1988 R.E.M. have rewarded members of their official fan club with special, exclusive singles. Here are all the songs to have featured in each of those packages:

1992 - "Where's Captain Kirk?" (Spizzenergi cover)/"Toyland" (Victor Herbert/Glen MacDonough, from Babes in Toyland)"

Why don't you go learn a thing or two yourself before pointing fingers, dickhead.

  • jajajajaja Idiots...

  • I do like REM... but, OMG, THIS COVER SUCKS DONKEY BALLS!!!

  • the hilarity being that they never paid Spizz, the usual loser!!

  • @spizzblubberboy

I don't believe they had to... they released this, and many other covers, for free every Christmas as a gift to their fan club members. This wasn't made for mass distribution or profit.

  • As much as I like R.E.M this isn't a very good cover. For this song Spizz Energie ftw :)

    Thanks for uploading this though.
