  • so touchy..

  • That is... awesome.

  • Goosebumps.

  • @mytxxxc dude this is a way of peace its not all of America its the ones who stand out and stand in to help people in need. Anyone can make a diffrence and Invisible Children proved it its about love and the love we try to spread sorry if you cant see that hopefully u noticed it but not all americans are bad and some of us have a right heart for example jason russel, bobby bailey , and laurn pools all great people.

  • @mytxxxc Don't act like all Americans are evil and despicable people, you don't know every single person who lives here and we didn't "fuck the world"as you've said oh so nicely.

If somebody's willing to help or have a change of heart than that's fine with me. It shouldn't matter who's helping as long as somebody is helping.

    Thanks for expressing your opinion.

  • @mytxxxc

"We didn't start the fire, it was always burning since the world's been turning. We didn't start the fire, though we didn't light it, but we tried to fight it."

  • @mytxxxc everyon'es to blame dumbass

  • Incredible video, and amazing song by the Killers.

Not enough people know about this and not enough people care.

There are still children being forced to kill. Joseph Kony is still alive.

I know it's not much, but I want to encourage you all to do whatever you can to make a difference! No donation is too little. Everything counts. Start a fundraiser if you can! It's as easy as calling your neighbors, family and friends for donations and support. You'll be surprised with what you can do!

  • With this happening,

how the hell could they be spending money on stupid things?

more money in sports? More money is bigger building?

WHY DON"T THEY HELP STOP THE PAIN AND SUFFERING OF PEOPLE IN THESE AFFECTED AREAS?

and help them live a better life, with happiness.

  • this was years ago....and life goes on

we arent meant to save the world

    thats not anyones job*

but little things help~keep things in perspective

    and keep praying,GOD bless

  • Why are more people watching American Idol and NOT watching this? Let's use our communication mediums the right way!

  • this is one of my fav songs!! it goes perfectly with the video

  • does anyone know when the next night commute is going to happen? i didn't about this one so i didn't partake in it

  • April 25th

  • Awesome!

  • wizard what have you ever done to help?

your just to up yourself to care and when other people acctually do something you just go well f them.

    it was a good vid.

  • my school did something like this to raise awareness

...clearly not on this level but it still left its mark*

    love* such a simple thing

but worth every drop of blood

    5 Billion stars^^

  • that is so true. but atleast they do something! dont just sit at home, posting negative coments on youtube.

maybe they are spoiled college students. but they still make a difference.

  • I cry every time I watch this video. Invisible Children and Beyond Borders based in Winnipeg, Canada are both fantastic groups. Anything which helps allieviate the suffering of children gets my support. Good job.

  • the point is to make a statement not to sleep. to get peoples attention. dont be ignorant.

  • Awesome!

  • I saw this video when one of the co-founders came to my school for human's rights day... It's so amazing how they went from 700 to thousands of people signed up for this in ten days or so. College roadtrip with a video camera raised awareness about

uganda, and well, thanks to all who brought this issue up in such a big way :)

Go join a charity or five; it makes a huge difference, and for all the stubborn people out there, no, charity is Not socialism. It helps lives. Help people; it's right.

  • THANK YOU for the opportunity to watch such powerful images.

I personally do know some people who have fled Uganda and this video touchs me.

  • is that just my computer or is the video super-widescreen? XD thanks.

  • jayc1300 I think what they are doing is trying to tell everyone what is going on BEFORE they put it into action.I mean, what is the point of doing something when you are the only person doing it?

  • Very Inspirational!!!!Loved it!!

  • The sleeping was to raise awareness to those who didn't know about the war, night commuting, etc.

There are countless groups out there dedicated to helping the people of Uganda, many of which are in schools, and I'd be willing to bet nearly all of those sleepers out there are apart of 'em

    ;]

Remember, in order to change the world, you need to first make the people of it see and understand. Cooperation and combined efforts of unity is what will bring peace.

  • yeah my repy is above...

  • i think this is amazing

and they have done something, they're bringing awareness. you dont just go out and help people, you teach people about the problem and encourage them to go out and do it too

and if you didnt notice in the video they wrote letters to the president and congress

this is the first step to changing the world. you dont just change the world in one day. you lead people to change the world, and in order to lead you need followers. the point is they got people to react.

  • jayc13000, what r u doing then?

  • This is monumental.

Those of you not doing anything: GET INVOLVED!!!!

  • im making a video for my school, its about Red Hand day and this song will be perfect and i would like to add it to my video.

    who sings this song???

    some one tell me pls

  • The Killers "Ive Got Soul"

  • Noo... The Killers "All These Things That I've Done"

  • All these things that I've done by the Killers

  • this was an amazing video

  • Oh my gosh.

    This is absolutely amazing.

I love that in a world of chaos and hatred, some people can actually stand up for others that can't stand up for themselves and for what they believe in.

  • that gives me chills its so good

  • The point of the whole thing was to get supporters together around the country to show the government that the citizens are serious about ending this injustice. The government is the one that we need to help the most; they have the most power. While on these streets, people wrote letters to the president pleading their and these children's cases. They were not out for a night out on the town with friends; they were making a point and helping at the same time by raising awareness.

  • The point being?

If you want to help then HELP!

Don't just fucking find excuses to have fun, while pretending to care.

In the end, deeds count. Not intentions, however true (or not) they might be.

Starving children can't feed on your singing. Sick children will not heal because you spent one night in the streets. Get real. Help if you want to, otherwise, don't pretend.

  • this video is so touching.. oh my god !!!

  • beautiful video, i was so happy seeing jacob fine and well. soo soo happy.

  • Love the vid and song...my little sis even watched it with me!

  • Cried the entire time.

  • This is amazing what a person would do for someone they don't even know. And i just bought one of the bracelets that pay for kids in uganda to go to school. What a wonderful program!!

  • im crying! i wish my city would have done this and made their statement

this is one of the best things ive heard of

  • i am from germany and i don`t know what to say. its amazing and unbelivable most of us are thinking that americans are just selfish and patriotism fanatics, but this video made me cry, love it.

my greetings from germany (sorry for my bad english)

  • uer english is pretty perfect...

  • thank you, now i know that english in shool is not useless

  • i thought the same

  • what song is this and i was wondering if u knew if they were going to sleep in the streets again?

  • its called "got soul"

  • thank u

  • its actually called All These Things That I've Done-the killers just found out =)

  • With tears in my eyes, this is so inspiring.

Not all hope is gone, not for the children in Afrika, not for the children all over the world.Love will concure all. They are our future, and the future starts now with a new beginning.

  • Dude, Where is the love man. Love is the Movement. You gotta give it to everyone. It's sad how you feel that we should put these children through even more torment. But God will soften your heart. God bless you.

  • my school in brazil got involved on this invisible children program and we had a sleep over at school and we had to pay to go and all the money went to those kids! it was really cool

  • Which school?

  • Will there be any more displace me events in CA?

    This movie is very inspiring!

  • wow brad your a retarded dick head

  • I love this video. I think its really inspiring and it made me cry the first like 8 times I watched it.

  • i cried so hard watching this.

  • this is an awesome and touching video.

was that jacob in the U.S.???

  • yes, actually it was jacob and his brother that started Invisible Children, after they were brought to US by the movie makers...

  • How can I get my school and town involved ??

  • We need to help out too. BRING IT TO CANADA..

  • PS you can still help if you are in canada! everything is the same...maybe you just cant join the schools to schools program but thats it

  • truly inspiring.

    I wept after watching this.

I wish they did one in Georgia.

    =D

  • Brilliant. I don't cry but I honestly wept after seeing this. Where you live shouldn't determine whether you live.

  • As an African I would like to say thank you to everybody who have participated in this activity. Thank you for understand our pain.

And thank to everybody who said that is doing something to help these children

    Thank for All Africa

  • this needs tobe scheduled to do again

  • this is freakin beautiful. no lie

  • Awesome video

  • this video has incouraged me to do somting for these children!!!

  • you should watch the actual documentary, invisible children, and log onto invisiblechildren(dot)com, the website gives you ways to help out.

  • i like this vid. ((makes me feel very warm & fuzzy)) :D @ my school, we actually have an Invisible Children's club & i'm in it. right now, everyone in this club is working on ways to help the children in Uganda!! :D ((yay!!!)) i'm going to make MANY t-shirts & have MANY bake sales to try to get as much $ as i can to donate! :D i really think that if you have a club like this @ your school, you should SERIOUSLY join!! if not, you should try doing something to help! HELP PLEASE! :D

  • Great vid, but it seems they used an edited (for length) version of "All These Things That I've Done". Kinda uncool.

  • The most influential video I've seen in a while.

  • i've got soul. but i'm not a solider.

  • this gave me chills. i just did DISplace Me and i'm praying that there won't be a need to do displace me next year....that the genocide will end.

  • ps

do you have a problem with helping people half way around the world? you don't need to see something personally if you want to help. you're the perfect example of what everyone's saying about our generation.

  • Aurora !!!!

  • This is just another way to help. it's not saying their arn't other problems in the world.

  • However, all the kids at my school could just get in a car and drive half an hour to Atlanta and see thousands of homeless people stuck not knowing where their next meal is going to come from. Or they could take a trip to one of the numerous battered women's shelters and actually help someone in their area. No, all these kids are going to walk through the city with their iPods in and have a grand ole' time and make a "difference".

  • Heartless.

  • Yea but you have to realize, the American government CAN afford to help out the homeless in America. We spend trillions of dollars looking for invisible weapons in iraq yet our country's own citizens cant find a place to sleep or a meal to eat. These people in Uganda on the other hand, are completely helpless. they did NOT chose to be born there.

  • There are a lot of other countries that are completely helpless to my friend

  • Okay, if the world had no problems at all except for what is going on in Uganda then I would be fine with Invisible Children- except thats not the case. All these attention craving kids come to school with Xs on their shirt so they can help some kids half way around the world in another country that they will never see.

  • There is no problem in the world that is more important than helping children in desperate need of food, clothing, shelter, and love.

  • who are you to say how someone can help another human being? if some kid with an ipod wants to save someone in uganda instead of atlanta good for them. its better than some kid with an ipod sitting on the couch watching tv now isnt it. the world changes on person at a time. maybe you should help someone close to you since you seem to be the expert here?

  • so to care about someone else is attention craving? interesting. people keep argueing that we need to care about our own country, but we are all human beings. why does everything have to be seperate, we all live on the same planet and have the same rights. as one of the most powerful nations, we should do something for those most in need, like these children in Uganda who live in a nation who cannot do any for them

  • Do you say this to people who are helping the poor and homeless in THIS country? Do you say "Well, there are other people in other countries who are poor, not just people in the US."? The people who started Invisible Children have never said and do NOT believe that Uganda is the only country that has problems. However, it is their focus and that isn't a bad thing. So, why would you be so against it? I think it's impossible for someone to be able to focus on EVERY SINGLE PROBLEM in the world.

  • Seattle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • yeah yeah seattle wooh

  • Sacramento!

  • going to atlanta YEAHH!

  • See you in ATLANTA!

  • I'm gonna be at Displace ME Chicago...Soldier Field. Hopefully I'll see some of you there.

  • wow..amazing..

    hey..thats my birthday..april 29th..

  • I just saw this movie 3 days aog, and i wish i had seen it earlier. this will sound cheesy but it is heartwarming to see people rally for a good cause. Also i realize that my personal problems are nothing compared to what children the age of my younger siblings have to go thru a daily basis.

  • i actually get goosebumps everytime i watch this video.

  • amazing..

  • WOW

  • Awsome!!! i havent seen a movement for something that's actually meaningful for quite some time now! That's just wonderful!!!

  • Amazing. Makes me want to do something like this.

  • I got bones but i'm not a boner.

  • That is absolutely beautiful. Very motivating.

  • i only wish more ppl could see this video, because then more ppl would realize that this world we all live in is full of bad thiand good ppl that try to fix them, but this world is also filled with heartless fuckhead who could care less about any1 but themselves, and if only the world could have more ppl who care and less heartless bastards i bet that we wouldnt have this prblm in africa. so just think about that.

  • the movie is seriously motivating. everyone should see it. everyone needs to see it.

  • This is amazing.

  • i think b4 u comment this u hav to actually noe wat theyr going through like watch the movie soo u can fukin see that u are damn lucky to be in america.
