PSP CFW 5.50 GEN-D (full) setup

i got a question, i have a psp 2001 and i know its hackable coz i upgrade many psp with that version. when I upgrade my psp version 5.03 to 5.50 gen d, when i choose reboot at the end of the installation my psp won't start..only the green light is on..but nothing on the screen.. how am i suppose to fix it?

@xbciete What can I say you have a brick but if your psp is hackable then make a pandora battery and make a magic memory stick you can google it. But if you have accesses to a PSP which has CFW (Custom Firmware) you should install an Ultimate VSH Menu and make a pandora battery using this plugin.

@vitalij981 i already tried the ultimate VSH menu.. but i dont think the part to make pandora battery will work on 5.50 prome 4..what do you think? and i already have mms.. all i need now is pandora battery! :c

@xbciete you should try using this final version the link is in description bottom it should work. You can also try and google uVSH menu for 5.50 gen if the 1st fails.

@vitalij981 hey thanks for your effort replying on my msgs. but still.. its a failure.. I don't want to sacrifice my own psp downgrading it just because to make sure I can make pandora on v5.00 m33 even though i can downgrade it. Now I just want to know, why that thing happen... I just upgrade it like usual v5.03 to 5.03ckhenr2 to gen-d then boom!! it brick! Why?? Its my first time experiencing it...

@xbciete As the vid says you must have a 5.50 Gen-b2 first to upgrade to 5.50 gen-d plus if you watch any other vid which tell how to hack ur psp 80% will not use chicken because it's OLD (MHU Speed better) and because such apps are best for unhackable psp Pandora is better. I can say that you won't sacrifice your psp if you have a pandora batt u will have to use pandora to hack ur psp(u should have 5.00 m33) then update to 5.50 gen d then 5.50 gen-d2 then d3. You have bricked your PSP and now it's useless. The only way to fix it is to go to someone, he will change you the motherboard and it will cost you.

@Lilzachman or you could just go to someone who has a psp that can create a pandoras battery and revert your psp back to normal, thats what i did a few times

@iexlb88 go to Recovery menu, configuration and snoof around there (u will find it:))) or if u are using a plugin vshmenu.prx download a plugin that is compatible with 5.50 Gen CFW.

i have a psp 1002 with 5.50 GEN D3 when i go in recovery menu there is an option that says , use slim colors on classic PSP currently dissabled , What will happen to it if i enable this feature ? will it make the color on the screen look better ?

I own a psp 3001 with version 5.55 on it. Do you know anyone who knows how I can make it capable of playing downloaded games. I have a magicgate memory stick pro duo card. I have tried chickhen and other enablers like nester j and nothing works. Can it be done?

@jsuterry1 pandora sales sells a special memory stick with firmware on it for the psp 3000 series that make it possible to play copied games , but you cant do it cos your official firmware needs to be 5.03 or lower and the motherboard needs to be a certain part number

Ok I'll try to answer to all of your questions.

It willl no brick your PSP unless: while flashing the CFW and you've taken off the battery or your psp shutdown, if you will try to install the CFW on a non hackable PSP, if you have the less than 3.50.

Multiplayer games work fine, I play naruto ( UNH 1,2 shippuden) tekken 6 no problem (via WLAN)(if via PSN than you

emmomaniac if you want to go to gen-d2 without installing gen-d than you cannot skip but it will not brick your psp :)

If it gives you an error like on 0:45 or your psp shutdowns in 10 sec than try to disable plugins & try again. Download it again maybe from another source. Try renaming the file.

EXAMPLE:

The name was: wrvs2k10

make it : wwe2k10 (or something like that)
