  • @yngnikko90 a ram in the thicket which abraham then sacrificed... so when abraham told isaac that god himself would provide the lamb, then God provided the ram, it was foreshadowing that later on God would provide Yeshua who is the lamb of God. According to the bible, all sin ever committed is forgiven through the blood of Yeshua alone since the beginning of history, not by animals, the animals were like a temporary covering..

  • @yngnikko90 this is going to be my last post on this, when God told Abraham to sacrifice Isaac, it was a foreshadowing of Yeshua, it showed that Abraham had faith that God could raise the dead like Yeshua because he had already promised to Abraham that his offspring through Isaac would become a ppl greater than the stars of the sky, Also, Issac asked Abraham, where is the lamb for the sacrifice and he responded.. "God himself will provide the lamb" God then called to him and provided a ram...

  • @yngnikko90 I knew a muslim in college who was a white dude and he was closer to the truth than any american or i could at least say i had a little more respect, anyways man, as for why does God need a blood sacrifice as an argument, i think you could just as easily ask a question like, why did God make us, or why does God condemn stealing, or why does God do this or that, the answer i would say is that he just does, from the time that he killed the first animal in the garden of eden to...

  • @yngnikko90 I didnt mean to leave a bad haughty taste in your mouth with the last comment. I would recommend to you to pray to Yah to reveal the truth to you and not look at what a bunch of demons and unbelievers who think themselves believers get together and decide about "church" and the Bible. I read the Word for hours and dont even attend fake churches, theve been infiltrated with demonic offspring that was spoked of in Genesis 6.

  • @yngnikko90 "Let Us make man in Our image" "Let Us go down and confuse their speech" the Bible is so totally consistent that Yeshua was God over and over and over that the argument that the scriptures are flawed or inconsistent with this notion holds no water whatsoever. If youd like to have a debate ill oblige you to keep my mind sharp, ive had the same debate with muslims in college, youre not going to understand anyway, but i like debating, its like chess only easier becuase i am right LOL

  • @yngnikko90 Yeshua taught that he was God so much that i could post for ages. He told the jews for instance "i tell you the truth, before abraham was I AM" the same way that Yah revealed himself to moses, and the Jews undersxtanding this picked up stones to stone him, which they also did for the same resaon on several other occasions. Even in Genesis it says "In the beginning, Elohim created the heaven and the earth" Elohim being plural for father and son and holy spirit... "Let Us make man...

  • @yngnikko90 The Bible doesnt state that Yeshua died for everyones sins that ever lived, this is a common fake christian belief which an out of context misnterpretation of john 3:16 probably helped lead to, When John 3:16 says he died for "the whole world" it said this because the Jews in that days belief was that their race was the only race that knew or would ever know God, Yeshua died for the sins of the elect only, that is why he said on the cross "It is finished."

  • Determining which belief system is a cult or not is determining which one is telling the truth. A good place to start is prophecy. Re:Isalm specifically - there have been prophecies given by Mohammed...name one that been has fulfilled and that according to the prophecy. Now compare that to bible prophecy...you decide which one is genuine.

  • @ invisoweasel could you give an example of "how" Israel is causing discord and death in the world? Sincerely, I don't get it. I just don't see the Israel flying planes into buildings and indiscriminately blowing up innocent people. I do see them defending themselves from people who do.

  • Does anyone know where I can get sheet music for this arrangement?

  • I'm a music minister and Evangelist and I've been looking heard to find the original music for this song by Isaac Watts in recording. The only versions I keep finding are "At the Cross", which has a different arrangement. Finally, the frustrating search is over. God bless you!

  • Actually Christianity is referred to as Judeo-Christian because it's foundation is based in/on the Hebrew scriptures. Keep in mind Jesus was Jewish (John 4:9). Jesus also said that salvation is of the Jews (John 4:22). All the writers of the Bible were Jewish.True Christianity will embrace the people of Israel (and pray for them).God says whoever blesses Israel will be blessed, whoever curses Israel will be cursed (Gen 27:29).Therefore if the Islam community is cursing Israel, what does that say?

  • @Tonhen1000 The modern atheistic state of Israel has nothing to do with the Israel of the Old Testament. All it has done is cause discord and death in the world.

  • @Jambeeno "If Islam's emergence from Christianity makes Islam a "lie" and a "distortion" of the original, why is Christianity not a lie and distortion if it came of Judaism?".

Islam emerged from Christianity?. You are a funny man. Look for a job where you can make people laugh.

But, yes Christianity emerged from Judaism. FYI Christians carry the Old testament bound together with the New testament as Bible.

Christians haven't distorted anything but that's not the case with Quran.

  • @Jambeeno You behave like a thug waiting in hiding for a prey at the way side, What is your business here arguing with all those post positive comments about the song?.

    And you are preaching.

Muslims considered Christianity, which was altready 600 years at that time, as cult !. A religion which was founded on lies and has distorted accounts of old and new testament writings as their divine text considered their source as a cult !.

You have no shame in using faulty logic.

  • @checkitall1 You behave like a person who uses name-calling.

I have no shame in using words correctly (the word "cult" in this instance) When it's convenient for priests and imams to condemn their counterparts as treacherous cultist devils, they do so. Religious propaganda both ancient and modern is easily researched.

If Islam's emergence from Christianity makes Islam a "lie" and a "distortion" of the original, why is Christianity not a lie and distortion if it came of Judaism?

  • I love old hymns rather than the contemporaries. It appears to me that the old hymns are offered to God in full sincerity.

  • @MrEriesal YES,. very true

  • Interesting tune to these words. Is it a Mennonite tune specifically?

  • So a radical Jew was brutally executed circa 30 CE, therefore you have a chance at eternity in heaven? And the symbol of your group is the hideous torture device upon which he died? How horribly macabre.

fwiw I'm an atheist and I found this hauntingly beautiful; they're very good vocalists! If the lyrics didn't strike me as monumentally silly I'd get a lot more out of it.

  • @Jambeeno I'm not tryin to convince u of anything, but it only makes sense in the whole context of this radical Jew. It basically comes down to, his soul went thru that brutal, hideous, torturous death so ours won't have to.

The symbol of the faith is the empty cross- he gave up his life on the cross, but believers believe that he rose again from the dead, so the cross (and therefore death) has no power over him, or us- which is why he came. I recommend Tim Keller's "The Reason for God".

  • @jangaley I saw many crucifixes as a Catholic, hence my PoV. Regardless, an empty cross is a torture device and will come across as macabre to persons unmoved by the scant reliable evidence we have of Jesus.

I'm actually familiar with the historicity of Jesus, having studied it intensely. He was a Jewish cult leader, baptized by John the Baptist, who was executed by Rome for sedition. The Gospel accounts of his birth, execution, and resurrection are disputed by serious historians.

  • @Jambeeno Yeah but it's what he apparently said, the things he apparently did, the ancient prophecies he fulfilled, the fact that he convinced those closest to him, and complete strangers, to follow him... then after he died, they gave their lives up to teach about him, and then actually were killed believing it all to be true- that's the whole context really. And yes it's faith that allows people to follow him, not every question answered, sorry :( Btw that's still an excellent book ;)

  • @jangaley We'd disagree about the meaning of the word "apparently." ;)

Christian tribulations aren't unique; history overflows with accounts of religious persecution. Christianity is certainly the largest religion; if you want to argue that ubiquity evinces worthiness, you're free to. However, I don't think just because ideas are tenacious it means that they're worthy.

Here's an inoffensive atheist Christmas song with lyrics I quoted:

  • @Jambeeno ONLY THE Jews considered it a cult because it was new and out of there normal standards or conditions of serving God. But Jesus came to pass the Law of Grace and Mercy. Many of Jesus's prophesies have already come to past which proves his existence even after his death.

  • @sadeswaggsitout this is untrue. It might help to check out the definition of "cult" at the Merriam-Webster dictionary.

Christianity currently is and historically was a cult in many distinct senses of the word. Romans thought it was a cult, Zoroastrian Persians thought it was a cult, early Muslim Arabs and Persians thought it was a cult, various Scandinavians, Eastern Europeans and Western Asians thought it was a cult... because it WAS a cult. It was a new, unorthodox religion.

  • @Jambeeno "early Muslim Arabs........thought it was a cult" . Islam was founded seven centuries after Christianity was born. And muslims thought Christianity was a cult!. What a reasoning!. Check your mental stability and reasoning power before posting more comments.

  • @checkitall1 whether Christianity was new at the dawn of Islam has nothing to do with whether Muslims thought Christians cultists who were better off assimilated or culturally marginalized. Check your ad hominem tendencies before posting more comments.

  • Those were one of the best lyrics I've heard. Very well made video! God bless you!

  • JESUS DIED FOR OUR SINS? The Ancient Satanic Christian CULT makes a "human blood sacrifice" to a demonic GOD so that GOD will FORGIVE their EVIL SINS? You drink his blood and eat his flesh YOU MAKE ME SICK you SATANIC DEATH WORSHIPPERS! Why do you think ANCIENT sacrifices were made? SO THAT god would forgive their evil sins and bring a good year of SUN to their crops. THE PAGAN SUN (son) of GOD, BEL (JESUS) the LIGHT of the world. SO NO, I want NO part of YOUR SATANIC BLOODY HUMAN SACRIFICE!

  • @lordgracie Actually, Christians do not worship a demonic god. We worship the true God. You also seem to mix up Satan and the Living God that we worship. They are actually different. Also, it is not fair to say that Christians make 'ancient' sacrifices. The sacrifice was made on the cross, a long time ago, once and for all. I encourage you to look into these things more carefully. Read the prophesies and the gospels. I would love to reason with you. God bless.

  • I always get so much from your videos dear friend. God bless!

  • I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. I play the piano and organ. Today (March 28, Palm Sunday), I played this as the Hymn of the Day. It is #337 in Evngelical Lutheran Worship. However, it was to the tune, MARTYRDOM, composed by Hugh Wilson (1764-1824).

  • Glory to God for sending His son Jesus! How He loves us!

Thank you for this magnificent post.

  • A very beautiful Hymn! Soothing and peaceful video

  • Amen.

  • ..Lost for words, truly a remarkable video.
