I'm surprised many viewers think this snake is real. They did show a real one in the beginning because they are obviously in an exhibit that has reptiles, so snakes are fresh in these people's minds. When one comes out (the fake one), it makes them more scared than it would in another settings. They don't automatically think, "Oh, snakes can't float in mid-air", and instead freak out.
