  • i want to get involved in a sport like this. but will i make any money?

  • well its a job so yes

  • If your good, then yes you can make quite a bit through sponsors and winning tournaments.

But if you start from scratch, and you wreck, it is pretty much over if you have no money to bounce back with.

  • hummm how do i even get involved? dont know any events local in florida that i could earn some money off of or what not.

  • That is the problem, everything in the united states besides dedicated race tracks is boxed in and puts people at risk if you attempt to drift.

Is there a local race track you can drive to? talk with them and see if you can make a small event for beginner drifters to go ahead and try their luck at going sideways.

I'm lucky enough to have an abandoned track near Boston, not sure about Florida.

  • Yeah... in jacksonville, there is no tracks, the closest one is a few hundred miles away in ocala. dang, looks like i need to move or something

  • ot suggesting, but parking lots make good practice when empty.

  • haha, yeah. wonder if i can get sponsors from recording me drifting =0

  • florida has tons a race tracks to drift at. the drift scene is modestly strong here.

  • Talk around with DeafeatingBoredom, he's in FL not me ;)

  • hey im trying to do the same thing man i asked a few people who do it they said u should start by doing like auto cross or really anything like auto cross road racing type events, and just start from there car wise just get a old civic or integra well wait, are u trying to do auto cross road racing or drift?

  • no shit, from sponsers. thats why theres so much fucking stickers on a car.

  • what sport are u talking about, racing or drifting? its very hard to make money in the world of motorsport. you have to be dedicated and most of all be really good. most motorsports are very expensive also if you want to get serious.

  • I think its all track events you can do really.

  • both racing and drift, i love cars, love automotive sports... just obsessed with it. Idk maybe i should think about another career first and try this as a hobby.

  • its extemely for anyone to take drift as a career i think

most pro drifters dont eventually make money from it, in best situation, they got sponsorship so they wont spend theirs own money on it

  • geez that sux... so hobby is my best bet i see.

  • yea good idea to keep it a hobby. unless your a prodigy racer/drifter and have ridiculous natural talent its too much risk

  • exactly.

these cars in this vid aren't just regulars with bolt on turbos too.

drivers spend over $100,000 on 1 car

  • couldnt be anymore correct. if you think of it its amazing the amount of work they put into them, and to think people drive these cars not modded to church on sunday haha

  • good video. kind of gay music Lol
