its called a tiger knee. you do the quarter circle, and also hit the diagonal upwards to jump, and basically you jump and instantly throw the shuriken. ends up being an input of 2369D (going by the numpad, while facing right.)

not sure, as i dont really play arakune, but it probably will. i think it works for dragon punch (623 on the numpad) moves as well, but i havnt been playing much lately, so i dont really remember.

tager has a 5.5-4.5 over hakumen, last i heard.

Nah, Hakumen still has a favorable match-up over Tager. Tager's slow attacks make it easier for Haku to parry and he still has a reach and speed advantage as well as having comparable damage. I think Tager is Haku's only favorable match-up though.

Uh what. Nu vs Tager and Arakune vs Tager is almost 8-2. Carl vs Tager is 7-3 Carl. Tager has no even matchups either.

I learned a lot in the 6 days since I made that post, it's pretty funny to see what I wrote. Clap loop > Tager, so that's a horrible match up now. I don't think Nu and Arakune are 8 - 2 though, that's a little excessive.

With everyone else it's probably 6 - 4 (with Tager at a disadvantage).

Tager can't do anything to Arakune or Nu though, that's the biggest problem. He can try to sledge, but a baited sledge gets them about half health if they have an RC, Arakune can kill him by cursing him and just running. It really is that bad.

I've had some experience with this match up at my local arcade, but the players weren't that good; I imagine high level Arakunes and V-13s will violate me six ways through Sunday...maybe I should second a top tier.

You'll do better with a character you're interested in. I play Tager and Bang, I'm one of the better players in my city even though there are alot of good players here, because I enjoy playing them. People who pick top tiers just cuz they're top tier usually won't try as hard because they're not having as much fun.

Well, I have a lot of fun winning, so generally top tier characters are a good choice for that :P. I like having only good match ups and tools for every situation, I'm used to that. I haven't played a low tier in a while, but I'll stick with Tager for now.
