It's one of the single greatest rivalries in all of college football. What is so bad about 100,000 football fans drinking. Granted the shitting in a stairwell is downright disgusting, but that's one person. You got on camera a couple of dickheads who got a little drunk and then generalized it so that these people are what every OSU fan is. You're all overreacting and you could find this behavior on any major universities campus, especially with such a huge rivalry.
The rioting and verbal (swearing) assaults are never acceptable....but I love how this is meant to show how bad OSU is...you'll still see this kind of binge drinking, post game harassment and idiocy on any big rivalry game.....in most heated rivalry situations. It's sad...but true....this is not exclusive to OSU by any means. I've been to Giants/Dodgers games and seen beating after beating all throughout the game, as well as other college events. And there are level-headed fans you see help too.
The pot shouldn't call the kettle black. I was at the Michigan Ohio State game this year and your students and fans were mostly just as bad. Imagine if there were implications in this years game. I like to think we have gotten alot better.
I was a sophomore at Ohio State in '02 and that shit was unacceptable madness. High and the adjoining streets, from Chittenden to 14th looked like a war zone. Still, that was FAR AND AWAY the most hostile I've ever seen Columbus and it was mostly due to the volatile mixture of the stakes of that game and the lingering feelings from the Cooper years. Even 4 years later, when it was a 1 v 2 match up, the mood wasn't even a shadow of this. Now you have to go looking for trouble to find it.
i grew up in columbus lived in upper arlington like 5 mins from the osu campus........while not all of their fans are losers i say a true honest estimate would be in the range of 95-97 % of them are a bunch of drunk , classless, fair weathered idiots who know next to nothing about the actual game.......but ohhhhhhhhhhh boy can they drink, riot, and act like complete asses............the biggest bunch of cry baby, obnoxious, poor sport losers you will find anywhere in this great land.........
The University has since taken measures to prevent this kind of thing from happening again. And it hasn't happened again. I'm as big of a Buckeye fan as anyone, and I hate Michigan just as much as anyone. I get fired up for the annual showdown just much as anyone. Embarrassing behavior. I know how big of a game this was, trust me. I was there. I also was only 15 then and not drinking. But there were a lot of lines crossed that day. Since the crackdown on alcohol, and the best fans in the land campaign, this kind of shit has been reduced by 95%. I was appalled by the behavior of some of those fans, but proud of OSU for the steps they have taken since then.

I go to fb games all over the country and the more north you go, the worse it gets. In the south, we have and use trash bags. Our campuses are almost as clean after the game as before. The only thing that you will see it a lot of tied trash bags. With the exception of the students (and they are not near as bad as this group) the fans are very nice and will share food, beer and anything else with you.

This video was from 2002. The first great season we've had in years and our fans got out of control that day. Since then it has never gotten out of control that bad. It's the Michigan game that brings out the crazy in Buckeye fans. The 2006 Michigan game was a lot more calm and it was the game of the century. Even Michigan fans didn't have it too bad.

I go to fb games all over the country and the more north you go, the worse it gets. In the south, we have and use trash bags. Our campuses are almost as clean after the game as before. The only thing that you will see it a lot of tied trash bags. With the exception of the students (and they are not near as bad as this group) the fans are very nice and will share food, beer and anything else with you.

This video was from 2002. The first great season we've had in years and our fans got out of control that day. Since then it has never gotten out of control that bad. It's the Michigan game that brings out the crazy in Buckeye fans. The 2006 Michigan game was a lot more calm and it was the game of the century. Even Michigan fans didn't have it too bad.

But if you think about it, Ann Arbor is one of the most literate cities in the continent, there's a culture of sportsmanship and respect.
