  • @225gtaivlcpd hey im an explorer, i been one for a little over a year now. Its great, espically when you get your training done so you can go to the station and ride along with them. The first time i rode i was kinda nervous haha, but it was great!. I got 7 calls that day. But the best part is helpin out the people that are in trouble. When evrything is done and the way they look at you, it makes you feel like you done something really good, There aint nothin that can come close to saving a life

  • holly crap i still have goosebumps god bless you all and hell of a Video

  • Being a firefighter is very rewarding. You gain a family, you are helping people, often the shifts schedule is good. The hardest part is when things go wrong despite everything you do. Sometimes is it not about saving everybody, instead it is about giving people a little more time to say goodbye, to get what they need to do done.

  • Hey srry to burst ur bubble but tje movie back draft is actually kinda a bs muvie because my dads a firefighter and half the things they did in that movie would never happen in real life like when there in the first fire and tjere throwin chairs around the room and STANDING up would not happen because ur supposed to be on you hands and knees because its hotter up high than it is down low and last thing u would not beable ti see 3inches infront of you with all the smoke. But it is a vid u made

  • awesome, i want to be a police officer and firefighter, but i cant decidee, maybe i will be a reserve worker for one of them and work for other

Thanks to all of you out there who are doing it, who have done it and who are willing to help others who want to do it. No words are enough to say thanks for your sacrifices and for those of your families who support you. Karebear, very nice job on the video. Thanks for giving back to those who so freely give everything.

  • I never had a friend or family member who was a fire fighter, emt or police officer. But I was 15 when 9/11 happened, and it made up my mind on what I wanted to do with my life. I'm now 24 years old, and I wouldn't trade being a fire fighter for any other job on this planet.

  • same with my dad...so true man..... my dad was in ny wen we got attacked.... it ws scary

  • Yea Im A FireFighter/Emt For Hopewell Ny. My Best Friend Died In A House Fire Thats Why I Became A Firefighter... He Was 18

I love you dad! Stay safe.

Youre the reason im trying to become a fire fighter!

  • Its about the pride you have and the love for doing something most wouldnt do

  • i be doing that when i get out of high school all ways want to be a fire fighter since i was 5 years old

they have cool stuff trucks tell him tanks what all he did putting his life on the line to save others

  • I like that you want to be a firefighter but don't be one for the cool trucks and lights and stuff. Thats not what its about.

  • i know im trying out for boston fire

  • I will say best of luck to you. Just remember it is a job and passion.

  • i know that was my passion since i was 5 years old to be a fire fighter

  • awesome good luck being firefighter, im glad theres people in the world that want to be heroes

  • i know its the best dam job period

  • i agree as firefighters we like to see that you want to be a firefighter but dont do it to seem cool or be cool. this is a job about passion and the love to help others thats why we put our lives on the line every day

  • @gower22 No but it comes with being a firefighter so except it. Everyone has their own reasons just be glad they are there to help and except their reasons.

  • @2000MWB I'm sorry if i cant except them being on the department for some bs reason such as to speed and lights and sirens. that aint what its about. It aint about the lights and sirens or the money. its about helping others. I dont want some punk kid who thinks he is cool cuz he is a firefighter going ino a burning building with me when he just thinks its fun. Its not fun its not cool its a job we have to do. If you have the dedication and the training so be it. I respect every

  • @gower22 I'm 35 and married with 3 kids. I'm a Lieutenant in my dept. My dept is made up of all volunteers. We have about 20 members and of that only about 6 of us show up for calls other than structure fires. We do it because we care about the people that live in our town. My paid job is a St. of Ct. Officer in the Dept. of Corr. I sometimes work 16 hour days and still get out of bed in the middle of the night to help a stranger and make it to roll call the next day. But if I catch our younger

  • @gower22 members driving like a jack wagon I put them in check. I don't know anyone who gets behind the wheel of a fire truck and doesn't get some type of rush. But thats what comes with the job. Some of these kids are looking for a rush and if they can do it in a safe way as a firefighter. Then they have my respect. If they drive around with their lights on and they are not responding to a call then I have a major issue with that.On aside note the whole reason I became an officer was so I

  • @gower22 could have more say in the training the members of my dept get. And I think it's working. This one kid was 16 or 17 years old when I join and he was the punk kid you were talking about. When other officers asked this kid to roll hose he would respond to them with I'm a volunteer and get in his car and drive off.But my way of dealing with this kid was to lead by example and now he does anything any of the officers asks without question.Sometimes you have to guide the punks a little more.

I respect every firefighter

  • @2000MWB The problem is these young kids who want to do this job dont know the dangers. they just see how cool it looks.

  • how do u go to FF school. its sumthim ive wantd to do since i was 13, im 21 now. how do i start? any help will b great.

  • hello I'm also a firefighter peru and I would like to tell me what is the name of the song to keep! inspires me a lot of tranquility!...my nema is carlos!

  • A female can't be a firefighter??? That's the dumbest thing i have ever heard... Anyone can be a firefighter, but God only picks special people to do so. Me, myself I am not much of a firefighter at all, I tried it. I even like it, I don't even mind the risks you take. I guess some people just aren't made out for it. I like the medical bit more though. Critical Care E M T - Paramedic. Goodluck with your firefighting career. I know a lot of girls at one of our departments that are FFs their great

  • i have every bit as much of respect for a female ff as i do a male...no reason you cant do it! good luck and stay safe.

  • Kara you did a great job on this video i know this is your sis telling you this but you really did a good job and other people must think it is is good too because you have gotten alot of comments and this is probably the best video you have ever made xoxoxoxoxoxo hugs and love your sis kaitlyn

  • Thank you from a firefighter of two years whose father is chief of his department. We all appreciate the small kindness showed by the world. J.R. Ellison RCFD #3 a-shift

  • GREAT JOB! I want to thank you for your time to make this video, im glad there are still those who respect us most of the people in my city view us as community service just there to get a cat out of a tree or unlock their car. Im glad you made this video, thank you.

  • my dads a firefighter and my worse fear is seeing that car pull up in front of his house and them telling me hes dead

  • i am from finland, but i want to come in america an firefighter! =)

  • thank you.

  • Don't mention it I really love the patriotism that comes from being a firefighter and I really hope to be the first female firefighter in my city...I love every single person who has the courage to run into a burning building while everyone else is running out

  • It doesn't take courage to run into a burning building... it takes love and heart for the people running out. The feeling that 1 more may still be in there tears you to pieces. There is no such thing as courage when your standing in front of a 20 ft fire and Death is right behind you laughing his ass off. Noone wants death to win, so, these men unacknowledged, knowing they may never face tomorrow, give everything they got to show Death we're not afraid.

  • Great Job. Thanks for Posting
