I enjoyed all three parts, I haven't seen a brickfilm like this in... well, ever. It may not have been an action-packed bloodbath, but the dialogue was well done, as were the voices. Exceptional special effects as well.

And thank God it wasn't blurry! LOL Too many blurry brickfilms out there.

It's a dialog-based comedy, many of the jokes are in the crawl itself. Good thing the main target audience for this film is nerds, after all I'm one myself...

@MysterySparkStudios you can use copyrighted music in a video as long as it isn't revenue shared -- I just can't put ads on this video to generate ad revenue on it.

No -- the effect is done in camera with the exception of moving objects outside the window, which are rotoscoped in digitally. There's a making-of linked in the video description that explains the basics of it.

I tinted it blue in Axogon and added some scrolling lines to it, composited it into the image using a "screen" blending mode.

How did you create the opening studio title from the Lucasfilms text?

I recreated the logo in Photoshop then animated the glitter effects in an animation program. There's a decent tutorial for this kind of thing (using different software) if you google "lucasfilm logo tutorial"

Republic Battle Cruiser, not a Star Destroyer. Remember though, they didn't get Star Destroyers until they killed Gizor Delso and stole the plans for new ships.

I use a Canon Powershot A620 for filming, and for normal lighting like this I make sure everything is extremely well lit, then turn the exposure down to a normal-looking level to prevent noise. Also I work with uncompressed video. I like your films, too, btw. You've done some very impressive compositing work.
