I live across the river in Wisconsin. Driving in downtown Stillwater is a pain in the butt, especially in the summer when that beautiful bridge goes up every half hour and all the traffic gets jammed for miles on every street. They really need to build a new bridge further south so the downtown can have some charm and less traffic. I live in Chicago right now where the traffic sucks, but I still cringe thinking about Stillwater. But Browns (Nelsons) Ice Cream rules!

Hey Smitty, I'm from NY and Stillwater is not a tourist-infested and traffic filed hellhole like new york. I am actually planning on moving to MN cause of that problem in NY. Stillwater and Saint Paul are great cities and people there can actually speak english unlike most people from NYC LOL.

No. Downtown Stillwater is a tourist-infested, traffic-filed hellhole.

Most of the town is just like any othere...People think that we all live on the river and shop at the historic downtown grocers.

We have a f***ing Cub Foods, too.
