Looks like those light tanks that that transport helicopter keeps on delivering to you proved to be useful after all, especially at the end of this video, when you sacrificed that tank to rush into the obelisk to presumably blow it up. (I've yet to watch the next part to verify it though, though I will very soon.)

Killing the obelisk in M05.mix does not change anything for this map M07.mix.
The obelisk will still be there, and it will still be functional.

i think theres an obelisk in this mission because you failed the secondary objective back at mission 6, when you had to kill 6 engineers.
