Also MW1 is widely appreciated as one of the best FPS's. Aswell, BFBC2 is discussed as becoming boring after 6 months were as MW2 was played until Black ops. The two games are not compare able and appeal to different interests. If you want a fast paced skirmish with communication get MW3 or if you want a realistic, epic war with actual teamwork and proper objectives get BF3.

The graphics may be old but they are still good quality considering MW2 had top of the range graphics when it was first released. Man, this game makes laugh. It tries to capture "epic" moments by showing bullets flying in slow-motion. Don't tell anyone, but all those bullets flying around are actually just animations.

You can't see them, but the real damage is done by invisible lasers fired from the character's eyes. It's called hit-scan, so you don't get real projectiles like in Battlefield. Your guns aren't even the point of exit for these lasers, it's your character's eyes. Those "bullets" are just to hide this fact.

@Numbnut10 Tracers? The tracers are a visual effect, almost every FPS to date uses hitscans instead of projectiles. Projectiles are terrible for online play and cause a huge amount of problems when it comes to hit detection.

Battlefield had hit-scans. Keyword: HAD. Now that there's superior technology, we can have projectiles in online play without problems. Just look at BC2, that game uses projectiles and doesn't have hit detection problems. Just look at Black Ops, that game uses hit-scan and has terrible hit detection. The fact that bullets travel at infinite speed with zero gravity in Call of Duty just means that they aren't keeping up with technology. They're still using an old engine with a few tweaks!
