Acts 20:35: I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the Words of the Lord Jesus, how He said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
Read the Bible. It is God's Word. The end of time is near. Man cannot save himself. Only God can save, and the only true God is the God of the Bible.
Very touching. Ive had the pleasure of seeing Fats play a bunch of times, growing up in N.O.. He is magical. Best show I ever saw was Jazz Fest 1999, the 40th anniversary of his first hit. They teamed him up with his old partner Dave Bartholomew and whole band, Earl Palmer on drums, Dr. John on guitar, Herb Hardesty on sax. Absolutely incredible. What a tremendous sound.
I was on stage, standing 2 meter behind Fats when he was playing in his hawaiishirt for 72000 people. First it was Dr.John, then Ray Charles and Mr. Domino closed the fest.Fantastic!!
I met his son and knew they had a home in Arabi, La. I had been to that place a couple of times with a friend. It was a nice place on the corner. I believe it was a half and half gray and white one story building. This was around 1978.
This is an amazing album. Buy it for the multitude of amazing tracks by some incredible artists, and feel good that you're helping out the Fat Man hisself.
You can also buy this fantastic CD directly from Tipitina's Foundation!
