This is actually the older version of the FN2 which did not have a limited slip differential; this is why it suffers so much from under steer. The latest version has been fitted with LSD which has given the FN2 precision handling even in poor conditions

the torsion bar is not a solid strut, It has a special pivoting system that allows it to move allowing each wheel to move on its own giving a similar effect to independent rear suspension but by also keeping the tail end more planted on the road

I looked at a few last weelk for my wife and found the fit and finish was awful. Everything rattled on all the cars not just one and they had only done between 18 and 25k. Engine was peaky and needed to be above 5k and the dash looked like a christmas disaster. The seats were comfortable tho. But thats it.

In the end we settled for a VXR which is also slated on top gear but is a totally better car. I couldnt stretch to an RS Focus else i would have.

Don’t believe all you hear from Mr C. Go and take one for a test drive and make your own mind up, I think you will enjoy it. At the point it under steers (as all modern cars do might I add) you will be travailing plenty quick enough to put a smile on your face. Let me put it this way, I have had two Exiges and a Carrera S and this car impresses me. I just got one for a daily driver and its bloody good fun! Whipped an RS in the corners the other day… which was nice.Quality build as well

@MaddDogg81 The sound cars make these day really have more to do with exhaust tuning than the engine itself. the exhaust is tuned to either make the noise more quiet, or distinctive, like in a performance car. The sound is basically fake. Even if the engine is same the exhaust could be completely different

These cars are good for a 16 year old, I had a 200SX SE-R when I was 17. Eventually after a bunch of cars my toy now is a 2000 Camaro SS. It corners better, sounds better, and is a fuck of a lot faster. Ricers are just kids who don't know what it is to drive a real powerful car. Who can only do donuts in reverse. Who can only drift with the e-brake. Etc.

alot of FN2,s engines are over 210bhp stock. and in the right hands is slightly faster. it,s not about rear end adjustability. it,s about front end precision. clarkson apolagised in topgear mag for this review going on air. because stig took it round test track faster than any other FWD at the time.

1st, Torque is the acting force in propeling an object.

Hp is a unit of measurment that repersents energy, Hp is an S.i branch of "watts"

watts are never used to measure the Fa (applyed Force) of an object, only the engergy it generates. Kinetic energy for a matter of fact from the explostions inside the engine, that push the pistons.

HP is WORK OVER TIME, how much power can a engine put on in x amount of time, which is MUCH MUCH more important than the force because you use all of it.

sometimes more torque then you need goes to waste, if it has knowear to go, true. but it the use of a vehicle, torque will be pushing your vehicle forward through the air resistance.

take for example 2 identical cars, one has 100hp, 200tq and the other vise versa.

the car with more torque will be faster because its air resistance barrier were it can no longer accelerate will be higer because it has more acting force pushing through the AirRes

S2000's arent that fast... but that low amount of tq they make is enough to get it moving because its super light and geared lighter.

diesel trucks like F-250's and rams can do 11 sec 1/4 mile runs with twin turbo mods... only pushing 600hp but well over 1000ft tq... that fast enough to beat almost any ferrari in a 1/4 drag.

and old mustangs are actually quick, desipte only having 260hp

There are websites devoted to unhappy BMW buyers, none so for Honda. Dont get me wrong, I have a bmw and like it, but my Honda has been reliable. In the top 100 manufactures for car reliability (warranty direct), BMW comes 47th .Guess who is first place?

@joeyptown187 really great car man, i had a 2002 golf vr6 swapped and had a lot of fun with it. The jetta is heavier but if u have money to invest go for the suspension to improve the handling. also check where it was made... those made in mexico between 99 to 03 have bit of electrical problems. hope it helps

As long as the previous owner didn't beat it up, it's a really good car and sounds better than 95% of all other v6's, of course the 3.2 and the 3.6 being the other 5% ;). mine has 111000 miles on it so i need the strut bushings and control arm bushings replaced and new brakes.
