@idlehanz1: Good try bro, but not correct. I took simla advice and got smashed at court becuz the cops can still use the radar even if it does not follow strict policy. If u are on there video save your time and pay the fine. I know your post means well.

@nigfo100 police technically don't need the radar to fine you it is used as supporting evidence... they can book you on their own judgement...they are trained and supposedly qualified to accurately estimate your speed, was a shock for me to find this out

Folllowing on from below: Processutors will not continue a case because if proven, which it can be, that such systems are unreilable then it questions their use, which can then make a president for any future cases and basically deem the sysetm pointless and unusable. So if your caught by one of these and do feel wronged, challange it all the way through the courts, you will win.

Regardless of the 'so called expert in the vid' Radar tech is unreliable. Police processecutors are often even stupid enough to bring 'experts' in to court from the manufacturer. Whom only have a vested interest in keeping sales of their product going to the police.

Whenever a defendants pull in an indpendant expert in this field, such as a Professor from a university, the flaws in these systems and the technology they are reliant on are easily pointed and cases are suddently dropped.

This appears to be the same expert who was using a Hotwheels toy radar on ACA several years ago or was it that Wolfgang Garwolli twat they always use. Either way both their expert opinions are about as credible as Harold Scrubys. Good old radar roy was claiming years ago he had the silver eagle radar withdrawn yet it is still widely used in 2011.

Don't believe anything on ACA or Today Tonight, it is all a load of bullshit.

What rot. All this "expert" is relying on the fact that police standing ]procedures weren't followed. The radar unit was being used in accordance with the manufacturers instructions. I'm pretty sure the manufacturer would know what their product was capable of.
