Abrogation is a lie basically. Verses can abrogate each other ONLY in the same situation and environment. For example "There is no compulsion in religion" is not abrogated at all, anywhere - for it is a universal message. The fighting verses were for there and then - in regards to the disbelievers and tribes nearby that were hostile, the fighting is not universal but historical for a time and place. Further evidence on no compulsion in religion is echoed throughout the entire Quran!

There is not a single versus in the quran that specificaly says that those fighting versus were abrgated. ANd the prophet himself never said that these versus were abrgated.

@ChristlivesES What is contradictor about these versus they are not even talking about the same thing. There is not one single contradiction in the quran. I told u what the law of abrogation was and it was refering to things like alchole. And we know these versus that came first were even used later after the last versus were revealed. His point is that Quran doesn't say, "do these things only at war." and to some Muslims they are at war and their definition of war differs from yours. @bosnianmuslim22 The prophet never said a LOT of things that Sunni Muslims practice today. Like tons of Sharia law, the prophet never said a lot of that stuff. A lot of Islam comes from what the early Muslims did who knew Muhammad after he died. WHy dont Muslims ever know about their own religion?

What david wood does is mix the 2. As far as surah at tawba is considered read it. All the fighting versus refer 2 different situation, they arnt abrgated. Thats the problem. surah 2 talks about fighting back surah 9 talks about fighting those who break there oaths. So u need 2 put in the context.

Luke 4:18- Freeing prisoners is different than freeing slaves. Galatians 3:23-24 These verses are talking about spiritual imprisonment and is in no way talking about freeing slaves. 4:1-11 is talking about spiritual enslavement and not literal enslavement. It is showing that "freedom" is great but it doesn't say free the slave

Abrogation is a lie basically. Verses can abrogate each other ONLY in the same situation and environment. For example "There is no compulsion in religion" is not abrogated at all, anywhere - for it is a universal message. The fighting verses were for there and then - in regards to the disbelievers and tribes nearby that were hostile, the fighting is not universal but historical for a time and place. Further evidence on no compulsion in religion is echoed throughout the entire Quran!

why do christinas always use 1 versus as there quran. The quran is a whole book and should be used the same way. David wood has no idea what he is talking about when it talks about abrgation, it is things like alchole. 1st it wasnt allow when praying then later it was said that drink wasnt allow at all. There is not a single versus in the quran that specificaly says that those fighting versus were abrgated. ANd the prophet himself never said that these versus were abrgated.

I told u what the law of abrogation was and it was refering to things like alchole. And we know these versus that came first were even used later after the last versus were revealed. His point is that Quran doesn't say, "do these things only at war." and to some Muslims they are at war and their definition of war differs from yours. If you arent in the House of Islam then you are in the house of war. It's all about semantics. That's why your god should have said "Do these things only in war." But He didnt! So the interpretation is open! Some Muslims are violent and some aren't. who is right? see Sunnah!

Luke 4:18- Freeing prisoners is different than freeing slaves. Galatians 3:23-24 These verses are talking about spiritual imprisonment and is in no way talking about freeing slaves. 4:1-11 is talking about spiritual enslavement and not literal enslavement. It is showing that "freedom" is great but it doesn't say free the slave

Before listening to any of your crap, your show is based on a fallacy. Comparing Jesus and Muhammad as you (Trinitarian Pauline Christians) think of these two personas is like comparing apples and oranges.
