Just a reminder, although this shootout happened after the movie "Heat" which was a favorite movie of the duo, they were robbing banks in the exact same manner before it was released in DEC 1995. They even killed a guard in a brief exchange (May 2 1996) before "Heat" was available on videotape. They did not get this idea because of the movie, if police tried to apprehend them during a heist in 1994-1995, it is more than likely a similar incident would have occurred.

As said before they are trained for head shots only.

Should there be bad and good cops? No, that's a poor excuse. I know good cops and bad. Most of them have attitudes whether bad or good. A cop should hold themselves above petty reasoning and actions, it's really sad most of them don't. I also hate the fact they call other people civilians. Cops have no obligation to protect anyone.

Sounds like you may be a cop. I was less than a mile from the incident on Ventura and Lankershim Blvds. I lived in L.A. for 37 years and I look at them redemers for all innocent people who have ever been pulled over, fucked with, disrespected, wrongfully arrested without JUST cause. I smile ever time I see all those fucking holes in LAPD's vehicles. You don't command respect because you have a crackerjack badge and you were punked all your life and know want to take it out on the innocent.

Just a reminder, although this shootout happened after the movie "Heat" which was a favorite movie of the duo, they were robbing banks in the exact same manner before it was released in DEC 1995. They even killed a guard in a brief exchange (May 2 1996) before "Heat" was available on videotape. They did not get this idea because of the movie, if police tried to apprehend them during a heist in 1994-1995, it is more than likely a similar incident would have occurred.

Read the inside of the armor police use and then the back of the plate. Most body armor with plates installed will withstand a few rounds of 308 Winchester but nothing above.

Wrong. Ask any military or police trained sniper they will tell you the only shot they are trained to take is a head shot. I have asked many snipers military and police trained and ALL say only head shots.

Military snipers are trained to aim for the abdomen, as it's the largest part of the body.
Police snipers are trained to hit a part of the brain the will instantly paralyse a suspect, which is useful for hostage situations.

Wrong again my second cousin is a Marine sniper and they train for head shots and another buddy is a SWAT sniper and again is trained only to take head shots.

I never said S.W.A.T. snipers aren't trained for head shots, they usually work in shorter distances and conditions that take less skill than military snipers

That is why they are only trained for head shots and will not take any other shot. Ask any qualified and trained sniper. Police or military and they will tell you. Ask anyone who has attempted the military sniper qualification. Army Snipers are EXPECTED to achieve a 90 percent first round hit at 600 meters. That's a little more than 650 yards. As said before they are trained for head shots only.

You keep thinking what you want. I know two snipers as well as another who went through Marine Sniper School and they all say snipers only take head shots but what would the qualified snipers know? As said before they only take head shots.
