My fav scene is the record player scene, where he hears himself speaking better than ever before. Or, the "nanny confession" scene. That was sadder than I had expected it to be, overall. HBC was great, as well. First time I ever really enjoyed her performance in a picture. Love it when she has a convo with the wife at her kitchen table. And, when she ignores "that woman." Good flick!!

From what I've read about the abdication crisis (which admittedly isn't much), I think it ultimately was for the best. Alleged Nazi sympathies aside, Edward/David gave me the impression of having a rather cavalier attitude, in stark contrast Bertie/George who accepted his duties and responsibilities and reigned through the worst war in history.
