Elfen Lied was sadder... I just watched Angel Beats and I'd have to say I literally shed tears when watching Elfen Lied... this was more of just an eye rub. Good series though.

@6XzexionX6 I believe Clannad: After Story would take the number one spot in that category, with this falling right behind in a close second. If Clannad is a 10/10 on the sadness meter, this is a 9.9 out of 10.

@WifiFreedom i agree. I am pretty shore that if it is any anime more sad than "clannad: after story" it would be something that would make you think of suicide :(
