Steam is the Daddy compared to Origin and their services along with windows spying doesn't help.Pity I have to miss out on a cool game being a battlefield 2 fan. I'll pick this up in the bargain basement to run on a partitioned OS if a decent PCI express 3.0 motherboard ever turns up. Why terms of service agreements have to be anymore than have have a good time, inform us of any glitches, don't bully, cheat, piss about with the coding and keep the hard work of the developers in mind is beyond me

@grotezakhooi if it's on console, the reason is that they disc for either xbox or ps3 can't handle any more storage and so they have two separate discs so it's optional to add in the hd disc. if it's on pc, probably the reason is that two discs combined together makes the size of the full game itself.

why would they need to scan everyones PC to create a better game? That's Marketing nonesense. For the general Hardware and Software specs you dont have to filter through the entire harddrive, folder and file structure. And you definelty dont have to be able to "share" this information with your business "partners".

You already paid paid for proper quality management and pre-release testing. It is their duty to provide a good game and to keep improving it, not yours.

The exact reason I did not buy the game. For that matter any more EA games that require Origin on my PC. Great for them to update it in Germany, but I don't see it being updated in the USA or anywhere else.

They just changed the license agreement. The origin program code is still the same.

@therealdefpunk the sums was only changed for germany not anywhere else. As well the origin code has not change, that's the point it is still collecting data regardless because it was designed to. This data will still be used sums change or not. The information collected prior to the change is now ears to use.

To people with connection issues. Only thing i can suggest (that worked for me), is Stopping your SSDP Discovery service in Windows. If that doesnt work, turn it back to Manual, and wait for DICE to fix it on their end.

game works great for me. had one issue that i fixed after doing a google search. AMD drivers are sweet, and DICE keeps you updated on fixes and maintenance after you login. i was iffy about the browser thing, but its great. you can see all your stats while you wait for your game to load. weird no one uses mics in this game. you cant play L4D2 w/o someone asking if you have a mic.

Anyone who cares about the long term future of PC games should boycott all EA titles... They really need to be tough a lesson, and nothing less than the complete scraping of Origin as DRM and a return of EA to Steam (and/or other options) is acceptable.
