Thanks for the posting. I grew up along the Ohio River near Cincinnati. When the calliope sounds started wafting through the neighborhood, me and my friends would run to the river. What a beautiful boat, what wonderful memories! If you are interested in the history of the Delta Queen , please check out the captaindemarrero channel, here on youtube. He is the only surviving Commodore of the Delta Queen Lines and shares a lot of stories about his 50+ years as a riverboat captain.
