great job by spyderco but i think they gotta get a delica in the salt series not that the VG-10 steel rusts at all even with a shit load of moisture but can you guys imagine how sick of a blade that would be!?
@usmc11able The Spyderco Salt 1 model is essentially a Delica 3 with H1. It's different than the Delica 4 FFG slightly, but really the same size as a Delica.
@poopRscoop14 they seem like two totally diff. knives. I mean the pacific salt is basically an endura, isn't it? Do you need a big blade or a smaller one?
i just recently got my first job and i noticed that i could use a knife for alot of things...i dont want 2 spend alot of money but i want somthing dourable not 2 big (i dont want ppl 2 think im wierd 4 carrying a knife....does anybody have any suggestions?
@halo2132 If I were you, I would check out spyderco's FFG delicas. They come in a variety of colors like purple and blue, and this makes them much more "people friendly".
@halo2132 i agree on the delica for utility. they arent pry bars but fantastic cutters. they are slightly larger than the dragonflys. or go with the dragonfly ithink around 40+ bucks for a dragonfly lil over 50 for delica
I've been wanting to get a lady bug salt for a long time now so i could have a knife that i don't have to worry about getting wet, now i'm getting the dragonfly salt no doubt!!! thanks for the review! although i don't see it on the spydercos websites
oh hell yes finally. icant keep from buying dragonflys. theres so many out there. this may be the one i will get next. because ive been itching to try out the h1. oh and fully serrated would be good too. itd be good for emergency river rescue. sometimes around here people get tangled in lines in the river and you have to cut them out or tangled in vests too. i could just toss it in my cargo pocket and forget about it until i need it. which may be never. would the pocket clip rust?
LOL wow its about time Spyderco did this O_O Thats an awsome size for a water knife! Although I prefere the Pacific Salt version, in yellow of course......
where is the zippo of the day????? I WANT THAT KNIFE!! i love that blade style its just like the tenacious, and now i can have it rust proof and YELLOW....IM SOLD haha
What sort of stuff would you say serratrd cuts better than plain edge as im after a salt 1 and dont no werether to get serrated ao plain edge im a deck hand on a fishing boat so need to cut rope and any other stuff like that
@hikinguphigh Serrated cuts rope and stuff like that better. I would recommend serrated on H-1, because it has better edge retention, so it doesn't need to be sharpened as much. Also Serrated is just good for fishing. If you are good at sharpening though plain edge won't be a problem.
i bought Cold Steel recon scout, fenix LD01, Bechmade triage 915 and the Spyderco dragonfly 2 for my dad for chrismas. do you think he will like it?
